What are your thoughts on getting infected with covid-19? Since a majority of healthcare workers are slowly giving up on their fights and some even recommend contracting the virus to naturally develop antibodies for it since the most that would happen to a healthy person is an asymptomatic case or just mild symptoms. Plus those that do go into critical conditions are usually ones that carry comorbidities and/or have a really weak immune system. Getting infected doesn't seem like a bad idea actually, given the facts. The initial hype from the virus just really left a bad image for people who first got infected. The only problem is the people around you who probably don't have as strong an immune system as yourself

So... what do you guys think?

I've read some articles that it totally destroys your system after you're totally healed, and the process to recovery is very difficult.

What's the source of those articles though? Because almost every article could say that about every serious illness

I wonder how severe the cases were because if it's icu level then those aren't in the mild and asymptomatic category anymore

Contracting the virus by naturally developed antibodies, is what keeps life going. All other things we do, we do it, because we have a weak immune system. I like what Sadguru, said when he was asked a question, about the low number of doctors per 100,000 people in India. He said that he wanted this number smaller, because people, will be healthy, and they do not need to visit the doctor.

I'm not sure who sadguru is but i think he's promoting herd immunity but in a discreet way thus the lowered number of medical staff. What's the covid-19 situation in india though?

One can never find out whatever your immunity system is strong enough to take covid-19 or not . So there is always a risk after getting infecting. Though you think that your immunity system is strong enough but in the end it is seems that it is not that strong enough to face covid-19.☺️☺️

You have a point but then of all those active cases tallied by doh, almost 80%of those cases are just mild and asymptomatic cases

But still 5-10% people affected by covid 19 is dying and I think we can not afford this deaths . We can not just watch and let them die..

About 10% is immune and only a very few people seem to spread it. People who do not have signs. Those who spread it and infect more than one person are not those who cough and sneeze plus the spreading happens inside. This means inside is the danger and ventilation is needed.

I don't have a strong immune system and over 5 different immune diseases. I doubt I will get it. Why not? I live far away from people and there's one thing I never had in my entire life: the flu!

With us, no one gives up. At the moment the IC has about 500 beds less filled in the country as before the pandemic started. Those 400 beds used are mainly other IC patients not infected people by the Coronavirus. This means those nurses have an easy time just like the doctors.

During the lockdown, my doctor wrote they closed down. All doctors did since they all are in the same building. She wrote they - the doctors - should think about her own health and the patients have to take care of themselves.

With us, the lockdown is over since June 11 and people still care about themselves. Now the doctors are complaining because they do not have patients. Suddenly they are "worried" those who are seriously ill do not visit them (and fill their wallet).

The doctors created this situation themselves. I doubt many will visit a doctor again. Before the pandemic they complained to be busy, although they only have a part-time job, mainly write recipes or tell you to visit a specialist... They refused to pay a visit at home or call an ambulance in cases if need. What do they expect?

It not a good feeling some health workers actually got infected due to not having enough protective equipments 😷 and other workers stopped caring for the infected cos they didn't want to get infected they are all fleeing for safety making the case worst.😞

I don't think i agree with that. Unless you are very sure about how strong your immune system is, you can't do it! You might have a hidden disease you didn't know about and that will cause a lot of problems. Personally i can't do it. My immune system isn't that great and i have some problems related with that.
