A wise voter

In the Phillipines, The National and Local Election for this coming May is fast approaching. In different social media, loyalists of the different candidates or parties were so noisy just to defend and protect to whom their votes go. Some people remain silent. But others are fighting and even exchanging harsh words against to each other. Do the candidates aware of what you are doing? Do they concern of what you're fighting for?

Candidates are so busy in campaigning to different places. They went to different sectors like religious, business, and different parties asking their support. Same as usual, they keep promises to the people, to convince them and to get their sympathy.

As usual, people were always opposing to the administration. They were complaining about the unfinished projects. They were reacting to the different problems that remain unresolved. They were posting bad articles addressing to the liar candidates. Why not to run in any position so that you will satisfy your wants?

Everybody wants a change. A change in the political system. A change in government system. A change in voting system. Why not to start a change within yourself? You want change but your vote is sold to the both parties. You want change but corruption starts with you. You want change but you did not even tell the people to whom you vote will go. You want change but you know yourself that even the candidate you're supporting needs to be replaced. You want change but you yourself needs it also.

We are in the Democratic country. We have the freedom whom to be voted. We have the right to choose and must not be dictated by others or even by the value of money. Your decision will still prevail when you are in the voting station. One vote of yours can really change if it is given to the right candidate who will lead the people. Your vote will not be useless if you're supporting to someone who is God-fearing candidate. Your vote will become meaningful if you want a candidate that promotes life.

Vote wisely. Are you a wise voter? Others misused or misinterpreted the terms "wise voter". For them, you are a wise voter if you will not tell the people to whom you will vote. For the purpose of receiving money left and right. You will be considered as wise voter if you remain silent so that whoever wins the game, you have the chance to be hired in a certain job when you apply. That's not the real meaning of wise voter. Vote wisely. Meaning, we are going to think many times before we will make a final decision. We will make a self investigation through examining their personal life and background through listening some news which are authentic as well. We will also consider their platforms that could greatly change our society and our country as a whole.

In my viewpoint, to vote wisely is to choose candidates whose platforms are in the accordance of the will of God. I will choose a candidate who is pro-life promoter. By watching and listening the debate, we are given an opportunity to know their main purpose why they are running for such position. Nevertheless, vote wisely. You don't need to participate and get involved in any political activities. You don't need to sell your vote for you are destroying your image, identity, dignity and integrity.
