The sudden but common death of Lord Carnarvon caused an avalanche of complete sensations, and almost immediately a "rumor" appeared about the curse of one of the most famous pharaohs ever, the famous Tutankhamun, whose research on the tomb and remains of the unfortunate master. There is no doubt that the pharaonic curse of anyone who touches his property, to be honest, exists, because Carnarvon was bitten by a mosquito (no wonder), and he cut that very place while shaving, as a result of which the wound became infected and the condition was complicated to death.
Some would say - well, it happens - and others would be convinced that Tutankhamun's punishment had reached him, which disturbed his pharaonic peace. We have decided to consider the reasons for and against, so we invite you to join us and make a decision, a curse or just a superstition of that and this time ...
February 1923 definitely made the unexpected, but one of the most significant turning points in the world of archeology. The head of the expedition, which worked on locating and finding the grave of one of the most famous pharaohs of today, archaeologist Howard Carter, found the resting place of the Egyptian ruler and invited about 20 people to attend the historical event.
Data from that time testify that, after the mummy was found and superficially analyzed, a small wound was discovered on the pharaoh's cheek. It later turns out that the mosquito was bitten in the identical place of Lord Carnarvon, whose full name was George Edward Stanhope Molyneux Herbert.
Modern laboratory research has shown that some mummies, logically, due to age, were covered with mold, especially two dangerous species, professionally called -Aspergillus niger- and -Aspergillus flavus-, which could cause reactions such as clotting and bleeding in the lungs. These toxins could have a bad effect on people, but in the case of weaker immunity.
Investigating the death of the master protector, doctors discovered that toxins from the tomb were not the only cause of death. Namely, he was already in his late years and had chronic diseases, which leads to the conclusion, as doctors claim, that if he were exposed to deadly bacteria from the mummy, he would die much faster than he actually died.
The story of the curse was further "heated" by the death of George J. Gould I, who was on the list of 20 guests in the tomb and who soon died of fever. The death of the Egyptian prince followed, when he was shot by his own wife, who also visited the mummy, and finally Lord Carnarvon's brother died of sepsis, after an operation he had shortly after the pharaoh's body was found.
The whole course of events was extremely covered by the media, as time allowed and it seems, it also contributed to the general belief that the ominous suspicion that the story about Tutankhamun's curse is true is coming true. The lack of appropriate equipment, which would prove the existence of bacteria, as well as other scientific claims, also ignited the flame of fear of the curse.
Howard Carter, who actually opened the tomb, lived for another 16 years, before he died of cancer in 1939.
Young Sergeant Richard Adamson, who guarded the grave site, died 60 years after the grave was opened in 1982.
Finally, Lady Elizabeth Carnarvon, the daughter of the Lord, died in 1980, 57 years after the epochal archaeological discovery.
It is easy to conclude that most deaths, people who had anything to do with finding and opening Tutankhamun's tomb, died either of old age, meaning "natural" death, or the death resulted in a long and severe illness. Thus, there are no supernatural and unexplained deaths. At least not to know about them.
While the ancient Egyptians built grandiose monuments to their dead rulers, the ancient granite marveled like the pyramids at Giza, the modern Egyptians built a new eternal residence for Tutankhamun in their immediate vicinity. The construction of the museum takes almost as long as Tutankhamun lived. The winning design, the work of American-Chinese architect Shin Fu Peng, was adopted in 2003.
I red a long time ago, when explorers open tombs of pharaoh, they get some bacteria on lung taht lives inside the tomb, and die at the end.. That is curse..
