I Learned these Lesson the Hard Way
February 28, 2022
Today is the last day of the month and time really flies so fast that I cannot get a grip or make it slow down a little. As I was travelling going to work, I remember lots of certain incidents that I learned my lesson the hard way. I want to share it to you because you could pick something from it. Even little things create the biggest chaos if we do not give importance. Little things always matters as the biggest things always starts from it.
Always Charge your Phone
We are always comfortable or maybe complacent. We do not anticipate bad things could happen to us the next day, of course, who wants that? However, things happens and we must be always be prepared, mentally and physically. I remember 2017. I used my phone to the fullest. I forgot to charge it because as soon as I finished using it, I lay in bed already. I woke up the next day at dawn and we had an emergency because my father had a heart attack. I was calling my sister to help us because she was on their house, but as soon as I was calling my phone was out of battery. We rushed my father at the hospital without my phone with me because I don't have time to get my charger and charged it. I stayed in the hospital without a phone and I can't live without a phone during that time because I am always working online even only using my phone.
Lesson learned, always charged your phone. If you will be using it at night, make sure to leave it at least 60% battery for you to be able to use it the next day. Phone is your means of communication and it is very vital in our lives these days.
Sleep more than 6 hours a day, if you are an adult
I am very stubborn to always keep reminding myself to sleep for longer hours but I keep on forgetting it. There is something wrong in me. I think I am not normal anymore. Just last night, I lost sleep again. I kept on thinking and thinking and somehow, I think my mind has its own thinking and kept on thinking. My eyes were closed but I was wide awake. Just like the old days, but this scenario really gave me a lesson learned the hard way.
I remember not sleeping one night and I need to go to work the next day. I don't skip work actually, I am always present even I don't feel okay. When I went to work, I was okay but there was a meeting that lasted for more than 4 hours. All the attendees, including me skipped eating lunch. Imagine, I didn't sleep, I didn't eat lunch, what happened to me? I was absent minded all the time. I kept on yawning, I don't understand what they were talking about and when it is me about to defend myself, I failed to do it because I don't remember a certain scenario and it look like I was making it up. They totally laughed at me because I don't know what I was saying.
If we lose sleep, we cannot function mentally. If we can function, we always be bound to feel stress and pressured. Also, our body will not function too, like we will feel sick, our perspiration is cold, we will have headache and we feel dehydrated. Always remember to sleep more than 6 hours to help yourself to save the day and survive it.
Do not skip meals!
Guys, skipping meals is really, really bad for your health. It is much better to eat small portion every 3 hours but skipping meals is a big NO, NO. I remember before, I was always busy. I always prioritize my work. I skipped lunch. I will eat lunch at 3 in the afternoon already. Sometimes I will be late in eating and I will have my lunch at 1 or 2 in the afternoon. Especially at home, I usually skipped lunch because my mother has her own timeline. I don't know if she is living in some Asian countries with 2 hours time difference because we always have lunch at 2 in the afternoon.
One time,I was sleeping and I felt a sudden discomfort on my stomach. It was really painful. The pain really reached my butt. I thought my appendix was going to burst. I already vomited. I was rushed in the hospital and the diagnosis is acidity. I become acidic because on the time that I should be eating my meal, my stomach is expecting a food to dissolve. My brain is on time in giving instruction to my stomach to release acid to digest the food when I know I haven't had any meal. Because of that, the amount of acidity is all there around my stomach. It could cause heart burn too and I was about to get it if I haven't been rushed to the hospital. I was near of having ulcer. When you have ulcer there are specific foods you should be eating and you cannot have a heavy meal. There are lots of prohibited foods and you will surely hate it.
Better eat on time and have foods available for you if you cannot really have a heavy meal during the three important meal of the day. Crackers and biscuit are good. Warm milk or coffee is good too with crackers. Just munch a little so that your stomach still has foods.
