The basic principle behind software (and possibly all) development: Is there an app/tool/utility that does what I want? No. Fine then, I'll find some APIs and libraries that I can leverage to create it myself.
Enabling NSFW content seems to be largely a case of finding a fork of code that has the censorship filter disabled/removed or creating a fork myself. Since a lot of what's available seems to use Keras, Pytorch or Tensorflow (mainly developed by Google and Meta), I'm not keen to do the latter, since I'll have to do my development in a container and pick through (perhaps fork and maintain) the code of the underlying AI libs looking for nastiness. That's not optimal. I'd rather make requests to a third party API that hosts such code.
On that note, I'm learning PHP (yet more PHP, about 35 hours of it) and adding an AI section to my Website, which I will also be converting to use MVC. Like the rest of the site, it's going to have a dark Nordic theme.

The AI course for which I want to enroll is currently unavailable, despite supposedly being fully online. Why am I not surprised. Damn it, I'm short ninety bucks this month. Earning from surveys has not gone as well for me as previously. I really have to find a way to both earn more and spend less. Unfortunately, I can't cut back any more than I already have (unless I stop eating, which isn't an option). I am tired of being unemployed and scrambling for crypto/money. I am tired of struggling to find work, flunking interviews or not being able to hold down a job due to my shitty mental health issues. It seems that there are no simple, low-requirement jobs that aren't going to stress me out of my tree and also pay a wage off which I can live and also afford to pay rent. Still, I'm back to square one: Spending almost all day, every day, scouring multiple job posting sites and antisocial media groups in the hope of finding something suitable (even if it's flipping burgers or waiting tables for some fast food franchise). Urgh! This is so frustrating!
I really do wish that the email provider I use would allow specifying a "receive all mail as plain text" option, then run all rich/marked-up text through html2text before it reaches my mailbox. I get so many mails with faulty HTML that doesn't render that I no longer even bother doing the conversion myself and replying "ParseError: Content did not render. Please resend as plain text". I just delete them and move on to the next item in my inbox. Complaint #2 is Webpages that use some special font/rendering technique to convert Web/Winding glyphs to characters; I just see the glyphs and move on.
Maybe I should learn Sieve and write code for a filter that does just that or, failing that, at least auto-responds with the above message when HTML is detected, possibly by content-type.

Almost every time I see things about "Why so Many Men Are Still Single", I'm reminded that "Incel" is a misnomer. "Volcel", however, is more appropriate. While these men may not be explicitly choosing to be single and/or celibate, they do choose to behave in a manner that non-men find repugnant and repulsive. As for me, my being single and celibate is by my choosing, at least until such time as I am at a point in my life as to be able to accommodate an arrangement/commitment to the contrary. (perhaps to the consternation of some well-meaning folks).
On that note, I'd best curtail my coffee imbibing activities and return to the project that might land me a job with a local company. (They're a small team, seem pretty relaxed and work with a tech stack I mostly like. Plus, I can walk there within fifteen minutes.)
I honestly have no idea how anyone survives through a Winter in the Northern Hemisphere. Winter in the Southern Hemisphere is bad enough. Global warming seems seasonal at this time of year. Forget being closed in and cut off from the nearest settlement and having to resort to eating belts, shoes and wallpaper just to get some nourishment; I would just rather die than struggle through that particular hell.

In other news: Since I have the technical know-how to upload content to my own Website and the means to do so, why don't I add a podcast/vlog section to it? It's not like it's currently using a lot of storage space or getting much traffic that would likely be negatively impacted by the large bandwidth requirements of audio-visual content. Audio tends to be less demanding on resources (both bandwidth and storage), so I think I'll keep the video/vlog content on YouTube and/or Hideout TV (or an alternative, if/when I find one) and host the audio/podcast version on my site, for those whom want a shorter and more lightweight version. (If it takes off and becomes big enough to become an issue, I can always migrate to a paid service, but I'll cross that bridge if I ever come to it.)

Tonight, I decided to turn one of my blog posts into a podcast/vlog episode. As soon as I launched my recording software, my computer lagged, froze and otherwise fucked around, resulting in the video and audio being indistinct, glitched or otherwise out of sync. Why wouldn't it do that and why do I expect anything else from it? Windows is like that and I should know that much by now. I really do need to completely migrate everything to GNU/Linux and stop wasting my time trying to get work done on a crappy OS, because it's simply not going to happen ...

According to Cointelegraph, the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority/Agency (DFSA) has "ordered Saxo Bank to erase its cryptocurrency holdings", as of 4 July. Citing Bloomberg, the same also reports that, on the same day, the South African Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) has issued a mandate to crypto exchanges operating in the country, warning them that failure to register by 30 November will "result in severe consequences", which include fines and/or business closure.

To be honest, when I first heard of/saw mention of Threads, I was confused. That's because I immediately thought of multi-threading in programming, particularly Java. However, I quickly learned that it's supposedly "the next Twatter-killer that's going to blow up", along with all the other flash-in-the-pan alternatives that were supposed to do that but failed to. To extend a metaphor, I'm quite happy to side with the people who're going to let it run its course and die silently/without notice in the background. That's usually what threads do, anyway.

Is it just me whom thinks so or does Mark Zuckerborg look like he was manufactured by Boston Dynamics or Fermi Lab? There's something creepily not-quite-human about him. I think it's the fact that his hair doesn't move, he has almost no eyebrows and his eyes are cold like a snake's.
