I took my dog out to pee a few minutes ago, to find that there is actual snow falling, not just rain. It's small and melts as it hits the ground, but still ... There's actual snow in the Midlands, on a freezing cold and cloudy day. I don't have my gloves because they stink of dogs and need to be soaked (again). I haven't even had breakfast yet or made myself a cup of tea because every time I leave my room, I get shat on by my landlady whom is in a foul mood for FSM knows what reason. https://www.publish0x.com/hunting-of-the-snark/elephant-guns-erase-my-troubles-one-by-one-xlqowgg?a=oQeZVJGJep&tid=Noise&t=Noise

Today, I became suspicious that Presearch isn't paying me out for my searches, like it used to. Indeed, when I investigated (by looking at my rewards payout history), I can clearly see that it last payed out at the end of last month. I tried closing the tab, logging out and back in again, even using a different browser. All of this had no effect. That's so not cool, man! It's taken me years to get to ~66% of the way to claiming my first 1000 PRE. I don't want to stop now, post-meridian, despite the fact that PRE has pretty much done nothing but tank in that time.
Having finally got around to trying a different steganography tool to the one I normally use, I have realised that it's best I stick to *NIX-based ones that I've used before. Also, Java still sucks. "Write once, run anywhere" my left foot! https://www.publish0x.com/back-to-the-source/using-steganography-with-steghide-to-embed-a-copyright-notic-xlqowjw

Nobody has ever pushed me up against a wall and kissed me forcefully (although I've done it to someone). I feel cheated.
Having read at least some of the Abrahamic bible (only Genesis and Exodus so far, which is quite an undertaking in of itself) and having seen all the horrific and horrendous shit that Yahweh/Yehowah gets up to (as well as condones his "chosen people" doing), I have come to the conclusion that both Dan Barker and Richard Dawkins are right in their assessment that the god of the Hebrews is "the most horrible character in all fiction". It therefore baffles me how the faithful can state their bogus opinions that "God is good/great/loving" as if those are irrefutable facts on the same level as "the Earth is a geoid" and "Evolution is true" (the latter being one that they often refute), but fail to provide any supporting evidence. Logic and reason are not the forté of that crowd (which is one of the reasons I refuse to take seriously the intellectual capacity or integrity of anyone whom professes to be a believer). I sincerely hope that if I ever take religion seriously, someone will be sure to check my mental health and brain function, because either I've completely lost my mind or have some other dire affliction of the brain.
The USA government didn't "fail to take down narco-terrorism". That's because the USA government *are* narco-terrorists and it would be bad for the economy to stop their "war on drugs". Does anyone remember that the Cocaine Import Agency actively distributed and sold the marching powder into BIPoC neighbourhoods so that they could fund at least one war in South America?
If I could run, I'd leave this town, I'd bury myself under the ground. As did I, we drink to die, we drink tonight. Far from home, elephant guns, erase my troubles one by one. And it rips through the night, all night, all night And it rips through the silence of our camp at night And it rips through the silence, all that is left is all that I hide. It's a little late in the day for the Noonday tune, but better late than never and a nudge is as good as a wink to a blind bat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTcWx0M6Oj8 https://genius.com/Beirut-elephant-gun-lyrics
I don't know what it is about me that others make the mistake of thinking they can freeload off me, but it's definitely a noticeable occurrence. Maybe they pick up on the fact that I answer their stupid questions and "'explain" the obvious (to me and anyone with more than two functioning brain cells, anyway), but completely ignore the fact that I do so with snark (or, more likely, that's completely lost on them because they don't have the requisite intelligence to detect it). I don't set out to help people purely out of good will anymore, especially not people too lazy/stupid to figure out things for themselves (not without compensation in cash or crypto, anyway). Still, the walking brain-dead lurch my way ...
Aargh! I am so sick of people being incompetent and not doing their jobs, of actually being surprised when people not only do what they're required to but go above and beyond to be helpful. Today was going well until the cellphone company with whom I cancelled my contract over a year ago sent debt collectors after me over it.
Lies I told today for crypto: I work for a security firm and I'm looking to buy a new smartphone in the next three months and that I'd be willing to pay more than 1 500 for it. Lie on surveys and make under 1 XNO per day or tell the truth and make even less. A difficult choice, right? How about "no"? At least I didn't have to lie about not supporting the former wankpuffin in chief in order to get paid. I can't imagine that's fun for anyone.
I had a problem with Medium this morning. The editor wouldn't allow me to post my content, even after I refreshed the page and pasted it all back in again. I don't have time to waste on stupid technical issues, yet they seem to occupy a disproportionate portion of my dealings with computers and the Web. I'll be glad to leave Web2 behind if Web3 solves such issues (although I suspect the problem is much lower down the stack and is connectivity-related).
Thanks to the wonders of the Internet, I have come to appreciate that Albert Einstein and George Carlin were right about stupid people (and the extent of their stupidity). Today's entry: A playlist of "Depeche Mode's Top Ten Hits", but it has twelve music videos in it, none of which are alternate or remixed versions ...
I am clearly a masochist (sucker for punishment) more than I am a sadist. Deciding to compile a word list for a language because I couldn't find one online is only the beginning of the latest scheme I've concocted to torture myself for the next month or two. Why? Because I'm hoping to earn some money from my bright idea(s). https://www.publish0x.com/back-to-the-source/i-already-regret-my-decision-to-go-multi-lingual-in-internat-xeeqemy?a=oQeZVJGJep&tid=Noise&t=Noise
TIL: What I thought was "Blue and Yellow Purple Hills" by D12 is the radio-friendly version of "Blue and Yellow Purple Pills". The song is most likely about taking drugs. It now makes a lot more sense why the song makes very little sense.
This afternoon, I finally surpassed the "3 million nautri on your stack" task/target on TipNano. I moved it all to my main balance (which incidentally pushed me to within the top twenty users on the leaderboard). I went to withdraw it and selected the "donate 2% to charity" option. However, the amount that would go off is so minimal that it's not worth it. I might as well withdraw all of it and donate some myself. Either that or wait until I've got at least four times as much as my current balance.
@Sydney2 Stake your crypto so you can claim your steak! Given that I assumed everyone in the cryptosphere already knows what staking is, I was surprised to be proven wrong. So, for those of you whom somehow managed to miss that particular boat, let's take a look at it. https://www.publish0x.com/cryptographic-viking/what-is-crypto-staking-and-why-should-you-care-xlqoqqe?a=oQeZVJGJep&tid=Noise&t=Noise
You don't have to be a rocket scientist or psychologist to work out that if multiple women say "He's not a good guy" about someone accused of a heinous crime, he probably committed it (regardless of if there's evidence to provide concrete proof). Give the accuser/alleged victim the benefit of the doubt. It's really not that difficult!
It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the bloody knuckles again! Have I recently mentioned that I'm not a fan of Winter?
Isn't it strange that the people whom give zero fucks about you always remember to contact you on your birthday, at Christmas and New Year, but at no other time? Yet, everyone else forgets (or, in my case, perhaps remembers not to) ...
Ah, fook! I've just realised that what I thought was a meat pie is in fact a vegetarian one. I didn't even know that was an option. The label on it doesn't even mention that it is, since it's marked down to a discount/special price. That also means I can't take it back. How annoying!
I got to play with a swet little Corgi/Shiba cross today. The little thing was clearly somebody's darling boy and I felt bad putting him back in his kennel. Unfortunately, I didn't have the presence of mind to take a photo of him or any of the other poppets. Since Vixxi is no more, I don't earn for my photos. I Briefly looked into what's involved with digitally signing files if I'm not going to go the NFT route. It turns out that it's pretty much what I've been doing already with watermarking them. That's not really what I want for multimedia I'm hoping to sell. The next step seems to be steganography (hiding data, such as UUIDs and copyright text, within files).
Today in stupid conspiracies: Russia didn't invade the Ukraine; their troops just did house swaps.
People can be really f**king useless a lot of the time! Does nobody understand what a request for comments (RFC) is, or is what I posted as befuddling to those that read and tipped it (but left no comments) as it is/was to me? Does it communicate anything meaningful to anybody or is it just a lot of word salad masquerading as a notification of intent to do something? https://www.publish0x.com/cryptographic-viking/freeos-and-democratic-governance-of-openai-xyegplk?a=oQeZVJGJep&tid=Noise&t=Noise
There comes a point where, no matter how much I like someone's content, I have to stop following them because they spam my feed and drown out other people's content. It's particularly annoying when I fall behind on my daily reading. Just because you somehow managed to get permission to post four or five times as much as other users (two posts per day; I got five and seldom use them) doesn't mean you should abuse it; it's not likely to earn you more on a site where readers can tip you a maximum of once per day.
Am I the only one whom thinks so, or are a lot of things in life improved by the addition of boobs or leather (or both; both can be good)? Anyway, I finally got my Proton, Telos and WAX wallets set up with Anchor. Now, all I have to do is earn serious amounts of crypto, convert that to Telos or WAX and mint my digital artwork as NFTs. I'm opting for Telos, since it's still possible to create a non-custodial account for free.
I really don't know why I go out of my way to be kind to and help other people, particularly if they've helped me and have a problem that I might be able to solve. It almost always gets thrown back in my face. In this modern world, kindness is seen as a weakness, even post-COVID when people are suffering and could probably do with some.
Do you write long-form posts on Pub0x and/or the now-defunct read.cash? Are you frustrated by not earning on Medium, Mirror or Vocal and/or looking for an additional (perhaps #2) Web3.0 site for your content? Perhaps BULB App (which operates on the Solana Blockchain) might be right for you. https://www.publish0x.com/cryptographic-viking/what-is-bulb-app-and-why-should-you-care-xozxgox?a=oQeZVJGJep&tid=Noise&t=Noise
I do wish that actually reading facts and research was sufficient change people's minds about their outdated beliefs, but confirmation bias is a thing. "Depression and other mental illness is caused by a chemical imbalance" is an outdated hypothesis/viewpoint that has little to no supporting evidence. Move with the times, folks, and stop blindly paying heed to the cult of Big Pharma long enough to actually read something before parroting old doctrines, alright? https://web.archive.org/web/19980715085305/http://journals.apa.org/prevention/volume1/pre0010002a.html https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/17852736 https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/34921573 https://thelostconnections.com/
I feel like the adverts for the Homescapes games, with their depiction of a poor and unkempt woman in patchwork clothes holding up a jar to receive some money or food, a look of resigned desperation on her face, is an exaggerated caricature of my situation (and that of many). I do not doubt that people will play the game to rescue her from her ongoing plight, but they won't think far enough to actually donate crypto/fiat to help those in need. If you are one of the fortunate few whom is both willing and able to offer some financial aid, please send me some BCH or donate XNO through the Send Nano fundraiser: http://nanowall.link/BabylonProjectXNO
Do you suspect that new crypto-earning app/game you've just started playing/using might be a scam? Here's how to tell before you waste too much of your valuable time on it: https://www.publish0x.com/cryptographic-viking/signs-that-a-crypto-earning-appgame-is-probably-a-scam-xzgokmd?a=oQeZVJGJep&tid=Noise&t=Noise Image: Photo by Mikhail Nilov on Pexels
