Writing Experience in Questions. (Advice for Beginners)
A new day is here again people, it's happiness that I write this morning having a weekend in my mind. With lots of things on my mind right now, I'm relieved by the weekend. Happy Friday and weekend to you all.
Itβs Friday morning mankind! Good vibe, donβt frown and let the monster see you smile!β Napz Cherub Pellazo
I'm taking today's article from a screenshot I made. I honestly can't remember whose post I took those shots from but it's always my lovely friend (s). This Friday is a good one and I so much appreciate it because it gives me time to plan myself well. I could not think of something to write probably because my head is stuffed and oozing, hehehe π. Times like this, my mind is so unrelaxed and that's a challenge to my writing lifestyle. Happy to have seen those screenshots that saved me time and stress. It's all about writing, challenges and feelings. Hope you will enjoy it as you read..
What inspired you to start writing?
My writing passion started in highschool as a science student. I loved literature classes especially the drama and poetry aspect of it. The words used in their poetry has a significant and deep meaning more than it is mentioned. I saw that as a mind puzzle trying to dismantle the meaning of those words and try to make something like that in my own poems. That was a milestone in my writing passion and lifestyle. I started with writing poems and now I can write everything.
How long have you been writing?
I'm a nine month old user on this platform. Thanks to my affiliate @J.matty who introduced me to this honorary platform
When did you start writing?
It's been a long time since I can't clearly remember but I was like fifteen when I developed the passion. It wasn't easy doing it alone because they were just my sister to put me through. I didn't have a phone to get lectured on the internet too. I started with a notebook and my sis will always encourage me.
What advice would you give a new writer, someone just starting?
Well, like I was told, "make sure you write and post daily, always read and comment meaningfully to other people's content, keep making at least five subscribers daily, follow the rules and regulations of this platform and of every group you might join. Do that and you'll be successful on this platform". I can also add that they should remember the goal here isn't driven by money but passion. It's not just about what you get but also what you do and how you do it.
How do you handle writer's block?
This if not carefully understood could be a challenge to all writers. It's still not easy though because sometimes I read posts here that say they don't know what to write but just.... It happens to me even now but this is what I do: I arrange for each day of the week what to write. In every fresh week, I make sure to have seven or more topics for me to choose and write from. That's how I do it. It's still a challenge because sometimes we don't write for days or skip a day or two because of necessary engagements.
What time of the day do you usually write?
It is best time for me to write at night. After dinner, I feel relaxed and end the day with something to write. Sometimes I write in my free time at work or anytime I get inspiration for something.
Describe a typical writing day?
A typical writing day for me could be a day I flow with thinking out something to write easily. Some days like that, I can create three posts and maybe publish two and draft the other. Days like that are loving because the mind flows with the correct rythm to write anything at hand.
What is the most difficult part about writing for you?
Having a stuffy day, a stressful day makes me look at my keyboard for minutes without writing something meaningful. It's difficult to write when I'm having mood swings. It's also difficult to write prompts generated by another person but I take all these difficulties as challenges.
Do you hear from your readers much? What do they say?
All my readers are amazing, hearing from them in every post makes me feel better with this platform. From their comments, they encourage and support me. They make me see reasons to continue Andi so much appreciate them.
Thank you all for reading, I wish you all a lovely weekend.
