New things can come from Old.
(Making New things from the old ones)
It a good feeling to have new things. Clothing and accessories and other properties. We celebrate them when they come new and sometimes sample them to attract eyes and get noticed. This is just the feeling and thrilling thirst for newly acquired properties. But, will it remain new forever? the sad answer is No. Nothing last forever! In life, we try to make the best choice because life itself doesn't last forever. No one lives forever is a bitter truth, but living a new life is a quest for humanity.

We find pleasure in new things: new car, new clothes, new house and even new marriage. We handle our new things and pamper them to avoid stain or crack, even though we know it will still one day, get stained or broken. If I should choose between new and old, I would go for the new one definitely. Let's say I have a choice of taking between old car or a new one? damn! am choosing the new one, just like everyone else would. But will it remain new forever? no. It just a matter of time, it will be regarded as old and sometimes reffered to outdated or ugly car. That is exactly how it is in life.
We get new clothes to look smart and good. We are Worth it and we look adorable in our attire because they are new. After some time, we would refer to them as old clothes and might even not like them again. So it is to all our gadgets and accessories. It doesn't really matter the cost of it , it will still get old and outdated someday.
When things get depreciated, can we increase their value and bring them working again? this is a quest for maintenance. Taking good care which shows that we respect and appreciate what we have and what they have been doing for us. Some people never repair their phone simply because the phones screen is broken. They order new ones which is good to do but, change the screen and it becomes a new one. An uncle once dashed out a phone he was'nt making use of because of a battery problem. His friend took it and changed the battery and it came working again, the uncle now wants to get the phone back because it looks good and functioning so well. That's life for us. Things we don't take care of will definitely attract us when they are taken care of by another person.
I had a standing fan given to me by my elder sister. She has dumped it for a while and it looked dirty and spoilt. I took the fan and washed it thoroughly, then spent some money, just little money to repair it and it started working again. She saw the fan and was blushing at it. It funny to say that she has no fan in her room and I have one in mine. The rejected fan she didn't care for is happily throwing some beautiful relaxation air on me each time I turn it on. My sister couldn't believe that and regretted her actions. But sis, is too late to return it. It mine now and I named her "rosely" which means fresh breath in my dialect. Proud to say that it still living comfortably with me in my room.
In our homes, let's say kitchen. We have so many utensils available in there but how many of them are in good shape to serve you. In my mom's kitchen, she once bought a knife, a cutting knife and within a short time, the handle got loose and Shakey. She dumped it and got another one but sadly, same thing happened again. She bought the fifth one within a space of 8 months and as she buys, she tries to buy an expensive one hoping to last longer. One day in the cupboard, I brought all the knives and washed them, then cut a wood and used it on the handle, then tied it up with a rubber. It looked neat and clean. I then took the rest to a shoe mender who used a leather material to coat the handle and sharpened it more making it look so new. I brought them back with my own made and showed them to everyone in the house. They all loved it and that was how mum stopped buying knives monthly.
It certain that we have to change some things and avoid reusing them for a long time but there are still some belongings we have to maintain. A torn cloth could be repaired by the tailor. It costs no much than we bought it. It just a simple repair instead of dumping them.
Some of these things we keep are sometimes so expensive and original. A little crack could make them stop working and in the same way, a little care could save them from this expensive cracking. Now in some places, used and thrown away cans are making people rich. I see some people picking them up and selling them in bunches as business. They make a living with that due to the industrial need for them. I think they are being made into some new product.
So many things we spend huge amount of money to buy, we can get them or make them from our home with what we have already. Maybe clothes we don't wear anyone, we can make things out from them. Even old, I mean very old clothes. My friends mom those days who is a seamstress will always tell us to find old clothes and cut out the buttons on them and bring to her. This she does and when she gets new customer to sow for, she charges them for the button and sometimes selling them is an option. Ever since then, I realized the importance of those little plates and if anyone from home dumps an old clothe, I would remove the button and zippers before burning them.
New things are special. New clothes, new shoes, new car, house and even marriage, are good to have. We just need to make the best of them and take care of them because I believe it will last longer and forever. It not new that we give so much care and attention to newly acquired things than the old otr older ones. It takes a miracle to lend someone your new car but it easier lending anyone the old ones. Same thing to our clothing's. Probably because it cost us so much to get the new ones and I must say that there's never equal value to them: the brand new and the old. The difference is clear.
Taking care of ourselves and what we have saves a lot.
Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day.

Indeed old things can be new as before, as long as we know how handle and make some renovation on it. That might take time but at least it's worth it
