Bitten by my Wolf II ((my journey and victory

I laid unconscious for some minutes,on the torns of rose flowers ,rays of sunlight forced its way into my eyes,I felt different as I tried to lift my legs it felt heavy, I could hear jingles of bells and chinks of metals , I was shocked to the narrows.i have been captured by some hunters, beside me was an animal lying close to the fire place ,I soon recognized it and began to weep the wolf tho dead already . The blacksmith hitting the metal had told me not to cry because it was a taboo amongst them. I wondered how I had got here. Somebody please say something to me! I pinched myself to see if it was my body or a dream and knowing it me sent more goosebumps down to my spine. With a wild eyes I said to myself without moving my lips "oh! this is not the time to wake up! should have slept a bit longer to wake up another place". It was a man roasting and hitting some stems in the blazing fire. I had imagined to be a blacksmith. He looked like one and the dried leaves making the sound of metals. Wait! am I just seeing all these with my sleepy eyes? With a heavy breath and wavy eyes, I tried to mimick the whole stage. I felt numb and sudden sweat oozing and running through my spines.

"she's up breathing fast" says one of the hunters as he takes a close look and walks up to me.

"stay calm, you're safe now" the hunter said again reaching for my cheek bones as I stayed paused with a mean face.

He's strapped all over and in thin clothing, all their faces halve painted in black color with beads of bone all around their neck.

'He just touched me like he's checking my high temperature, he should be kind to me"....and more running through my thoughts. He offered me some water from a horn as if he knew I was so thirsty. I took the horn with my hands shaking and drink from it as it pours on my body. My body has been dry and now I had water and Tears forcefully rolled down my cheeks. With my right hand holding the horn of water, I tried to wipe my tears with my left but just found out I couldn't move it. Looking at my left arm, I came to realize that I have been wrapped with some pieces of wood and tied with straps from my gown. With eyes wide open in shock I looked at my gown to see it cut short already. Moved my eyes down to my legs seeing my left leg again wrapped in sticks with straps from my gown too. I couldn't stand up as my leg couldn't move it.

"Stay still and down, you will get better soon" an older voice said approaching me with a bag around her waist.

"Have she taken the water?" she asked the hunter and he said yes! not long ago. That's good, I knew she would awake soon that why I kept it for her to drink but don't worry she would fall asleep again and will remember her past..

She touched my arms softly as I looked with a wobbly lips.

"her high temperature is dropping and she will fall asleep anytime from now. Keep an eye on her body and I will be back again at the time she would be up again"

She is aged and have thin clothing as well. Her bangles made of teeth bones of a strange animal and her bag made of furs and hairs. She stood tall and walked with a long stick with speared mouth. My eyes gazed at her as she walked away, I felt cold and blurry vision until my eyes closed and I fell asleep thinking of her last words..."you're lucky you fell into the big hole. Your legs will move and you will walk again. I already made you a beautiful necklace from the wolf's tooth"...

In My dreams, I could see my last moments with him, the love of my life who have failed to protect me from the packs. The scary wolves he walked me to. I warned him about this and he said he would protect me in case. He gave me his trust and I took his words. Where is he now. Am a stranger in my wounds and lost in my thoughts. I sensed that Wolf from a distance and told him but he said it was a heap of sand in the distance. Until we walked boldly in his steps into the circle of the scary creatures and the were unwelcomed by the packs.I held unto him so tight and trusted my safety with him as I gripped him tight. What happened next is still not clear to me. I saw myself running as fast as I could in the night of the moon, screaming loud for help and calling his name...

I have waited all day for him but no! not for this. Be came and we visited so many places, I wanted to go but he said we would go to this last place. Could it have been my last time?. I don't know! why should it be here I asked again and he said he had visited and wanted me to come again with him. I have him and I took confidence in him. Let be fast, it moonlight already and it late and he said I shouldn't be so worried. Now where is he and his words. His promises fled as he fled with him I couldn't help but dash out in the forest trying to save my life. They ran after me and I was so scared and screaming his name for help. But there's no him and with the blurry vision, I fell into the big hole that was maybe there to save my life. In pains I cried and in fright, I woke up to see myself in this strange place.

The woman is back and I can perceive her presence from my sleep. I opened my eyes and she touched my head raising me up and looking into my eyes.."do you now remember what happened to you my child" she asked in a slow voice as I nodded in reply.

"I made this necklace for you, this will help your bone heal so fast"

She put the necklace made of a wolf tooth which she removed from my leg. I grabbed her hands around my neck with tears of joy in my eyes without knowing what to say. She smiled and and brought me some bread and honey to eat. The hunter sat beside me taking a watch and keeping me safe. I reached my hands to take the food and realized I was getting better.

"Take some food and by morning you will be healed and your bones will hurt no more" she said looking at me. I took the food and got up moving my limbs again. "How did I get here" I asked her!

"My son heard your voice and came for your help" she said.

"where is your second?" she asked.

My mind ran back to him. Alan! Alan!" I screamed. I do not know where he is" he brought me to the forest to look around when we were attacked. He ran away and I was running for my life after being bitten twice by the angry wolf and fell into the big hole. " where is he now" I asked them again.

"He was nowhere to be found in the forest. He ran away leaving you behind and I came for your rescue. I killed the pack that bit you twice and she made you a necklace with the tooth it left deep inside your legs" said the hunter.

"you will return home by the nights of tomorrow, this is your third day of staying here and by tomorrow you will be going back home fully recovered. Who is Alan"? she asked me. And In tears I told her he's my boyfriend and we were taking a tour together before this encounter.

"He's safe but living in regrets. No one would believe him and his story. He thinks you're no more but don't worry, he shall live to regret.Do not worry about that, always be happy that you are alive and will be with your family tomorrow. Tell no one what happened here in the forest and you will be fine always".. Alan will be back to find you tomorrow in the forest and would return not in himself for his words will haunt him and he will hate his experience. He will not die from the omen but will see you and live in regrets. This necklace will keep you safe from all dangers and keep you away from sickness. This is our gifts and it will heal your heart and body my daughter"

I was lost in emotions and strong with myself as well. I thought about my family when I knew I was away from home for three days. They must have searched for me everywhere and who knows what Alan would tell happened to me. I grabbed my necklace and put it under my cloth.

She gave me water from some leaves she had cooked and I took it and fell asleep again thinking about nothing. In my dreams, I could see Alan meeting his carcass and the packs waiting for him to come in search of me.

I woke up again and it morning already. Ready to go, I bade them farewell and the hunter lead me out of the forest. I found myself and walked towards my way home.

Look! there she is! called a voice from a car from a little distance. That's my sister and my mother. They stopped and gave me a hug and was surprised to see me looking good but clothes dirty and torn. Momma was happy to see me again and can't wait to hear my stories.

They were told I was attacked by the wolves but they do not know that I was bitten by my own wolf who was supposed to protect me.
