Prisha happens to be the only daughter in the Khan family, she is loved by her brother. Every guy in the neighborhood is always scared of approaching her, no one would dare to disturb her after what her brother did to a guy who was threatening her for relationship sake.

She is the last child of the family but doesn't get satisfied with the attention her dad gives her, she always wants to be like the boys. My Khan is in his sixties but still has a youth heart, he rides a bicycle, plays videos, and does other things with the male kids while Prisha is always assisting her mother with chores. She sees it as cheating and sometimes questions God for creating her as a female, she always feels like life as a male is the best. You are free to do anything you like, unlike female children that are been monitored and condemned to chores.

On a particular weekend, Prisha told her father that she would love to be an aeronautical engineer after her secondary education. Mr. Khan became furious, he practically told her to learn how to make meals and take care of the house because she would end up in her husband's kitchen. Prisha knew her father's intention that day, he just wanted to give her out as a wife after her secondary education.

The discussion that night made her angry and she wished she was a male child, her mother wasn't helping situations either. It was not easy discussing such a thing with her sibling because they are fond of telling her that it is the men's world. That night wasn't a good one, she kept talking to herself and asking herself numerous questions. Why can't I have the same privilege as my brothers, they are all doing what they wanted but I am not privileged to enjoy those benefits because I am a female child?

Even if dad is not very educated, he is okay enough to help me pursue my dreams and I don't see any reason why he is doing this to me, or isn't he my father?

These thoughts kept coming and she slept off with tears in her eyes, she woke up intending to run away but life out there would be extremely difficult for a 16 years old girl. Prisha wishes she wouldn't graduate from secondary school, it was difficult for her to know that her fate was just to get married after secondary school.

After her graduation, her father called her to his room for a discussion. She knelt in the room, knowing why he called her.

Come sit by my side Prisha, but she refused. He went to help her up and she was crying quietly, "it's okay my daughter".

He continued, "I understand how you feel but everything is for your good".

Has your mother ever told you that she studied journalism in school? Prisha was shocked. Yes, she did but the children's responsibility made her abandon that career because it was too much to combine family and work? All the years spent in school was a waste, her parent could have invested in other things. Look at her today, isn't she great as a housewife?.

You should trust me as your father, I won't mislead you. I and my childhood friend has been talking about you for quite some time now, his son has graduated and he has a great job. He will take care of you properly and you just need to be a good housewife.

Prisha was in tears all through the discussion and her response was, "okay sir, it is certain that I can't change your mind so I will just do what you want".

Prisha clocked nineteen and her father's friend's family brought their son to ask for Prisha's hands in marriage. It was a kind of a traditional thing, Ganesh the future bride didn't find it cool but he has to honor tradition been the first child of the family.

The wedding process happened and it was successful, both families spent a lot on the ceremony.

The couples arrived at their home that night very tired and they slept off as soon as they got inside.

The next morning was about discussing, they talked a lot because they haven't had the chance to do so before. Their parents are so obsessed with the tradition of the first male son marrying someone from their tribe just to promote their culture.

Ganesh found Prisha interesting, he was her kind of woman. Career-oriented, she was an ambitious woman but he didn't understand why she wasn't allowed to pursue her dream, they cooked together as they talked about life; Prisha didn't hesitate to pour out everything on her mind. She drank lots of alcohol throughout the conversation and went to lay on the bed naked at night, expecting Ganesh to make love since she was taught that it is his right as a husband after the wedding.

Ganesh returned from the bathroom, he was seeing a beautiful figure on the bed. He went to lay by her side and held her head close to his chest. He could feel Prisha's heart racing even though she was drunk, he told her to relax and kissed her softly.

It was a long night for them, they both didn't wake until around 10 am the next day. Prisha woke up first and felt like stabbing Ganesh because he didn't understand how she felt about the marriage and everything, she was sad and got out of the bed in tears. She went to the bathroom to clean herself up when she noticed that there was no sign of her lost virginity, it looked like Ganesh didn't make love to her. He kissed me and even caressed my body but what happened after?

Prisha sat down staring at Ganesh, he also woke up and drew her close to himself. He said to her, you must be wondering why I didn't touch you after the hot romance, I didn't want to do what's against your wish.

I got a mail last night and my company is sending me abroad for a two years course, the offer involves leaving with you. I thought it would be better if I help you pursue your dream first.

Prisha didn't believe her ears, she hugged him not minding they were both naked anymore.

The traveling preparation started and they soon left the country together, Prisha got admission to study aeronautic engineering, and Ganesh choose to cut his allowances so that she can study but the problem was that she needed four years.

While they were abroad, Ganesh met a lady and they somehow fell in love with each other, Ganesh told Prisha about it. He was older and wasn't willing to wait another four years, he got married to her without involving his family. It wasn't easy for Prisha because she was developing feelings for him already but she respected his opinion, he has done a lot for her already.

Two years reach and Ganesh new wife helped Prisha in getting documents to complete her studies, Ganesh didn't return home as well since his wife was a citizen. They had their first kid while abroad and decided to go home after Prisha's graduation for the first time since he left the country.

Prisha graduated as the best student in her university and was already working earning six figures in dollars monthly before coming home. The families were surprised to see Prisha with another man and Ganesh with another woman, but Ganesh shed light on the situation.

Their parent regretted matchmaking them and Prisha's parents were sad for looking down on her dreams, they wished they had supported her. She forgave them and even bought them a luxury car before returning abroad, Prisha and Ganesh lived happily ever after with their respective families.

Sometimes we just need one person to support us in life to achieve our dreams.

I'm glad it is a happy ending. That would really end up an awful marriage even though they seem to start liking each other because Prisha's greatest dream was hindered. Ganesh is a great man as well.

It would have ended in a bad relationship because she won't be happy for not fulfilling her dreams.

I’m glad she later achieved her dream. One lesson learnt is that trust the process. Whatever will be, will be.

That's true, people who are destined to be great will definitely be great but there might be delay, we just have to be focused and loyal to the dream.

Lolz, it is hard to find men who can do such. He understands what it means to force people into doing things against their will.
