It pays to go the right way.

I went to my barber's shop earlier today, it is been a while since I went there and we talked at length before the haircut. I was surprised to see the other shops around him shut, I asked him why and he said only a few shop owners have been coming lately because sales have been terrible, I encouraged him not to give up but he altered a statement that everyone is finding a way out of poverty now and he doesn't know what to do.

I pretended not to hear as I changed the topic to football, I didn't want to become a motivational speaker all of a sudden.

A new boutique just opened beside him and I was like wow, you have a new neighbor. I saw the owner of the boutique and he happens to be a young guy, the guy greeted me and said that he has good clothes in case I want to buy clothes, we joked and laughed before shutting the shop and went out on a bike, he told the barber that he would be traveling for some days.

Immediately he left, the barber told me that the boy just got a car and he is just 23 years. He started lamenting about his condition, he said the guy told him while they were having fun somewhere that poor people choose to be poor because there are easy ways out of being broke but they are not ready to do the things they ought to do.

I got more interested in his conversation and got a perfect picture of what was going on in his mind and it would be the last time he will lay his hands on my head.

With the discussion we had, it was clear he wasn't contented with what he was earning anymore and he wants a shortcut to living large. The same person asked me some months back if I was into Yahoo because I am always at home except I have work to do at the farm, I told him about crypto blogging and he turned it down immediately.

He wants to live a life that his earnings can't pay for and I fear he might make a decision that would end with regret in the future, the same thing applies to lots of youths out there. They want to seek easy ways out of poverty, they end up as fraudsters and ritualists, no wonder why we can't go a day without hearing terrible news with youths involved.

The idea of shortcuts to success is becoming a rampant belief among the youth and in no time, things might get messy because crimes will increase in the country.

I am not living the desired life I want yet, I work on a farm and still working myself up making 2-3 articles daily, commenting across platforms just to make more money to achieve the future I have always dreamt about. I know people who work and still blog on different platforms, don't they want to live large but there is a reason why we choose to go through the right part to success than doing the shortcuts.

Like our elders would say that "whatever you do not work for doesn't last long".

A man who is now a cab driver once narrated his life story to me, he said he was once rich but everything vanished bit by bit, and he couldn't even explain how. He was into internet fraud even before it became rampant, he made money but he was obsessed with living large and at a point, everything he owned started going for sale until he was left with nothing.

He got the vehicle he is using now on installment and he wished he had spent the money wisely but it wasn't his fault that he didn't accomplish anything with the money, it is impossible to reap the labor of others and use it to accomplish great things in life.

Know this and know peace, only the things you have worked for will remain with you at the end of the day.

Who doesn't want to live a lavish lifestyle but what is the essence of living a life that you won't be proud of at the end of the day?

I don't know who needs to see this but, one thing for sure is that hard work pays better than seeking shortcuts to success. Proverb 17 vs 1 says, "Better is a dry morsel with quiet than a house full of feasting with strife".

Mark 8 vs 36 says, "For what shall it profit a manĀ if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his soul?.

Moreover, everything we kill or hurt others to have wouldn't leave the world with us so why walk on a path that leads t destruction when you can work for everything you want.

Others' lifestyles shouldn't be the reason for you to ruin your future, the funny thing is that those people whose lives are making you want to commit this atrocity might be doing the right thing to make money.

It's evident that your barber is already feeling pressured to join yahoo and it's already on the surface of his mind. Right now he just needs someone to give him a little push and he will jump right into internet fraud. It's actually not easy sha to be working legally and yet see youngsters making money and spending it lavishly, that's the major reason why a lot of youth will rather go into yahoo than work legitly. It takes someone with a strong will to overcome such temptations

I love the last part sir "Others' lifestyles shouldn't be the reason for you to ruin your future". This is so true most especially these days. Many people ruined their lives due to this and please allow me to put it on my social media if it's okay with you.

Why not? You can share it. It is so sad that this thought and habit of doing illegal things is getting rampant.

"told him about crypto blogging and he turned it down immediately." That about sums it up. Most short cuts are in reality dead ends. People who are desperate to "live large" without earning that status through their own hard work (and careful planning) will be more likely to do desperate things.

My concern is how these disparate things affect the lives of innocent people.

If you get your money through illegal means, I don't think anyone would be wise to invest it because they won't even reason to such extent because they believe they will always have more money but when reality struck them, they will start regretting.

I explained blogging to my cousin but he told me he wants to go into Yahoo. I just pity people like him.

That's what many of them opt in for and from there, they drag them into rituals. I don't know what their problems are, I don't believe they are lazy because that illegal is stressful as well but they will choose to endure that instead of enduring the stress on the right path.
