My little remembrance from our trip in austria. An angel cookie jar and salzburg ref magnet. Originally i plan to buy christmas snow globes too but my husband said much better buy it during christmas markets. Maybe they offer new style and newly made globes.

The Mozart's lego version. He is a display here in mozart family houses here in salzburg, austria. Unfortunately the von trapp chateau (as seen in the sound of music movie) is not accessible to public anymore. Its the main reason i wanted to visit this part of austria. Well better luck next time. Hehhehe

Food trip in bad ischl, austria. Eating some sumptuous dessert in konditorei zauner in ischl town. The cafeteria was established in 1832. Opened to cater only the rich, royalties and ariatocrats during that time. The town is also famous for spas. I'll get back to all who engages to me on my other post. Enjoying my last few days of vacay hahhaa!

enjoying ice cream with a friend! even with the cold weather, we can't still resist to buy and lick these sumptuous dessert/snack. mine is the choco vanilla flavor, for my friend is on right, bubble gum flavor ice cream. π

Having some nice lunch with my hubby. haha. For me chicken staek with french fries and chicken cordon bleu (on left) for husband. Hehhe. Also mark our 4th wedding anniversry today. Hahah

Processed apricot preserves for desserts and other sweets specially during winter time. Brine solution is 2 liters water, half kilo sugar. Bring to boil. Cool down before pouring in jar with apricot slices (removed seeds). After that we soak the jars in barrel, boil at 80C for 25 minutes. Let jar for around 10 mins. Drain water from barrel or just remove the jars from inside. Cool the jar upside down over night.

soon, fresh picks from our green house. hehehe. our regular crops, tomatoes, cucumber, and bell pepper. outside we have cauliflower, carrots, but not yet blooming, aside from strawberries (wild and regular).

cooking dinner. home made french fries and dried fish. i cooked outside because the dried fish (or so called tuyo in Philippines) is so smelly, they can't bear the smell of it. so i had no choice but to cooked outside hehehe. although i cook the rice inside house. still i had no choice but to eat dinner outside hehehe. but my husband was there to accompany me during my dinner hahahha.

Posted this mushrooms weeks ago. Now its a headline now in our newspaper. If only i knew. I should have called the newspaper company and say something that some interesting thing can be found here. Hahahha. Maybe they will even give me some rewards since i was the 1st one who saw it hahhahah

First photos is our rose. The first bloom for the year. The tree is more than 30yrs old now.they just trim it every year to avoid going so tall and to avoid damaging the wall. 2nd on the right is our carnation plant. Our lavander is starting to bloom now too. I'll post it later on. π

my lunch for today is sweet and sour pork with rice. but what i love most is the burnt part of the rice at the bottom of the pot or rice cooker. prepared by my friend. its been a while since i last tasted a filipino dish. hehe. but i loved most is the burnt rice hehehe. been my favorite since i was a kid. my mom said i was after my grand father who loves eating the burnt part of the rice too. hahaha

baked the so called "Masaryk cookies". its an almost forgotten christmas treat, the cookies is a favorite of the first Czechoslovak president TomΓ‘Ε‘ Garrigue Masaryk. ingredients: 300g flour (all purpose flour). 100g powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon cocoa, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 200g butter, 1 egg yolk, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 170g combined hazel nut and walnut, chopped or crushed. roll or dust with brown sugar before baking. bake for 108C for 12mins.

ask a favor for a friend who is returning back here in europe for work. ask her to buy me some filipino goodies. she agreed to buy me my wishlist but with a little interest. hahaha. i paid more than 50$ when she handed it to me. when real prices is more than 10$ only hahaha.

New set of mushrooms sprouted on the same tree that i posted the other day. I dont know why they choose this tree. Hehhe. I will see next week if another batch will bloom on that tree. π

Saw this during my morning walk. A large group of mushrooms sprout in the tree. Been raining here for days, thats why mushrooms starts blooming again. I dont know what its called or if it is edible or not. Just find it cute. Heheh.

Prepared banana cake as for sunday treat. A little burnt though but still edible hahahha. Unfortunately i forgot to add raisins and chopped almonds. maybe on next baking hehehe. Happy sunday to all!!π

visited one of chateaus here in Czech republic, the chateau kralovna koruna or charles crown. because its resembles the crown of Charles IV, the holy roman emperor of czech republic from 1346 to 1378. the castle is own by kinsky family since 1721 until today. unfortunately, taking photos from inside the castle is prohibited by the owners. @tomascze i finally got to see the castle too. hehehe.

We went for some trip today and had a nice lunch in a restaurant. Mine is the burger with fries and orange juice. And husband's. Lunch is grilled chicken with fries and beer. Hehehe My birthday is coming in next few days. So we advanced the celebration.hehehe.

Bought this souvenir in a chateau we recently visited. i still buy post card time to time. Hehehe Normally i buy ref magnets, mugs and other kind of souvenirs. I just find it cute. Do you still buy post cards or received post cards from friends and family?

taken this last saturday here in our town. according to the news this carnival is 2nd biggest next to prague. i just stroll around and see the rides, the horses and stores around. hehehe its been 2 years since it last open here due to pandemic. but many critics dont agree with the prices of the rides, foods and others here. but for me, its should be expected, 2 years of lockdown, 2yrs of stop operation, of course they will increase their price from 2years ago. secondly, its unfair to compare prices of now adays from 10-20-30 years ago. things are way way different back then. i hope next year. price will be lower than today. hehe

the czech version of walis ting ting and walis tambo (broom). hahaha it is made from branches of birch tree. only missing is the witch hahahha. husband's uncle gave this the other day. I still prefer the Philippine version of brooms.

Today we visit the exhibit show of Tutankhamun here in Brno, Czech republic. its about his tomb and treasures. he is a young pharaoh died at 18 yrs of age from unknown reason. but scientist said a blow in the head might have cause his death. his tomb is below the tomb of ramesis vi according to archeologists and researchers during the 1920s expedition. 60% of his treasure were stolen by grave robbers few days after his burial, and few more robbers after some time. another interesting discovery is that each layer of linen wrap in his body was embedded with different kinds of jewelries and amulets. (i fortunately, i dont have photos). This visit is also our birthday treat for my mother in law for tomorrow. after the visit, we ordered McDonalds. hehehe

We have a little visitor today in our green house. I dont know how it got there but he just there resting. My brother in law took it and free it in the garden. Its my first time to see a frog here in the garden. Hehhe. For some its "caturday", but for me its froggy day hahhahha.
