Let's go right to one of the biggest problem areas in the physical areaβ sleep. Research shows that sleep deprivation contributes to depression, stroke, high blood, diabetes, obesity, sugar level and also affect our physical appearance.
These past few weeks I admit that I really don't have enough sleep. That is why sometimes I'm having headache. Loses my fucos about my daily basis and I feel like my brain is empty. That's why sometimes I can't think any topic to write because of lack sleep. I have drafts articles because I lose my fucos and I can't continue to write. There were actually times that I feel, I'm walking like a zombie specially in the morning.
I easily get irritated with small things, and I always feel exhausted even I'm not doing anything. I admit that when I feel tired, I blow things out of proportion. That little joke from someone literally turned my day as the baddest day. That little mistake, suddenly seems like my biggest mistake in my whole life.
These past few days my partner keeps on reminding me to have enough sleep as he noticed me unproductive, or should we call it lazy. I'm being lazy because I feel like I'm tired from the moment I opened my eyes in the morning. My body ache and my eyes are heavy. And since I have a little one, I must be waken up.
I know that it's a bad habit to not have enough sleep. As we all know we needed at least 8 hour's of sleep, so our brain can rest too. Right now I am trying to sleep early at night, as possible that I can. And upon searching some tips to achieved a good sleep, I will share with you some of the tips that I wanted to apply for my sleeping goals.
πΈGet what you need
Expert's say's that we need between 8 to 9 hour's of sleep a day. But we can figure out if how much sleep we needed to be our best. Some of us might feel better after having six to seven hours of sleep, some of us really needed more than eight hour's of sleep. We need to know when we need to get up and calculate when we need to go to bed.
πΈGo to bed early. Get up early
Do you also believe that wisdom word that we usually heard from our parents and grandparents? "Early to bed and early to rise keeps a man healthy, wealthy and wise." I sometimes hear this from my parents before and I think it's true. If we have enough sleep, then we will stay healthy and if we're always healthy we can be wealthy and wise.π I try to have enough sleep before yesterday, I can't say that it was yesterday because last night I was active from this platform until 11 PM. I was actually keep reading articles and I forgot the time. Anyway let's go back to what I have said earlier. I try to sleep early and get up early before yesterday morning and I feel something magical about it. When I woke up, I feel energised and enthusiastic.
πΈBe somewhat consistent
For example, if you typically get to bed around 9:00 P.M. during weekdays, then don't go to bed at 3 : 00 A.M. every Friday or Saturday night, and you will be sleeping in 'til noon. Binge-sleeping during weekends can really mess you up when you try to get back into the groove of your normal schedule. I usually did this before when I'm still working, and it makes me feel lazy the next day and make me hate Monday. Well I'm not saying that you shouldn't have fun and stay up late on weekends. Just don't be so extreme.
πΈRelax before bed
Instead of gulping amounts of caffeine before hitting the sack, try relaxing. Take a bath, write or read some articles here in read.cash, and some actually do stretching just to feel relaxed. A few minutes of relaxing time before bed can make all the difference believe me π.
But anyway these are just tips not rules. I know some of us, sometimes want to stay up late with friends. Even I, there were also times that I'll have to stay up to finish some chores. My point is: Do the best that you can, let's use moderation and let's all be wise. If we are feeling depressed, confused and stressed out, a steady stream of good night's rests may just be the cure we need.
Remember sleep is our brain's vitamins!
And I will end this article in here.π
