What should be free
AUTHOR: OMOJUWA FREEDOM DATE: 2 January 2022 Obviously, we live in an era where things that should be free are being paid for due to the situations in which some nations find themselves. However, I believe that there are ways in which those particular things can be free, but the corruption, crony capitalism in which my nation lives makes it difficult for them. There are a lot of things I'd want to discuss that are paid for at a higher price in my nation but are provided for free in other places. `So before I share my awesome idea, kindly check out my kind, awesome and fantastic sponsors` These are the list of things that are meant to be free: **1. Hospitals In General** If someone's life is in danger or about to expire in my country, they will still demand money for diagnosing and treating patients before any treatment can initiate, which is extremely detrimental to the country as a whole, and if the person dies, they will still demand money before releasing the body to his or her relatives. These costs are extremely high, and the government in this country doesn't seem to mind because they have the financial means to cover them. In fact, they frequently travel to other countries for better treatment, deciding to leave their own country's health care in complete disarray. At the very least, if it cannot be free for all, the least that could be done is that persons over the age of 60 should be eligible for free medical treatment, and children under the age of 16 should be eligible for free treatment if they are conceived with a health problem. **2. Public Transportation** Even though it might look impossible bin some countries but at least they can make it free on weekdays when people don't go to work and most especially free for students who are still in highschool. If we're all wealthy no one would consider using a public transport but the situation we find ourselves we have no choice than to use it and now public transportation fee is getting more expensive as each day passes and it affects a lot of people. **3. Education** Education should be completely free, Even if it appears unfeasible in some nations, they can at least make it free on weekdays when people are not at work, and especially for students still in high school. No one would consider utilizing public transportation if we were all millionaires, but in our current condition, we have no choice but to do so, and the cost of public transportation is increasing with each passing day, affecting a large number of people. ****Final Thought**** Nothing easy comes easy, and we should be aware of this. If we are in a position to help someone for free, please do so because you never know what others are going through, and what we consider insignificant to others means a great deal to them. They don't even care, public hospitals bills sef plenty
I totally agree with you, food should be free too to those who can't afford it. Some of these things are just subsidized by government but not totally free
I don't think food can be completely free though but at least something can be done, like donation. To people in need
I agree with most esp. of hospitals bills, I still remember how people died at their homes coz they are afraid to go to hospitals aside from the swab test they are afraid of where to get money for the hospitals bills.

Sounds famiiar this kind of system though. I dont know why lots of people here being so greedy especially to those people is in the position of system.

I agreed in our country Pakistan, educational fees are not enough only 0.1$ per month in school or in colleges but at the university level they paid unexpected amount very high, or every where in this world transport is too much high here the petrol prices increasing day by day and poor people dies with hungry, actually we want to change our self and be responsible for our working
Same over here, especially 2021 everything just kept on increasing

Of all you had mentioned we have public hospital.but it is not free, just cheaper. Though if you want a better service better gonat private
Public hospitals here is not cheap at all but the private is more expensive though
I mean at least more affordable compare to private.
The medical field, yeah other countries have policies to offer free medical attention to some set of people but somehow it's kinda difficult for developing countries. Even those developing countries that have the policy often times find it difficult to cope because of political freaks. Take a dying body to the hospital, they'd still demand for money and they don't care if the body dies there...this baffles me a lot and I asked a medical practitioner one day and she said, that's the policy because if they succeed in treating the patient, his people might not pay later.
I understand but there's something that can be done at least, so because they don't have money to pay they should lose their loved ones
We have different status in life, with that said, we should learn to empathize and share something significant to other people. This world should be filled with people who have a compassionate heart.

With regards on that hospital thingy, I agree with that because our relatives experience that before. He had a car accident but the hospital wants us to pay first before checking on patient's condition. As if that we will run away after than 🤧How sad that sometimes some people much value money rather than their fellows.🥺
I still wonder why they can't start treatment before they ask for money, that's the era we living now, they show no mercy
These things really should be free especially education and health care. It sucks that the government don't care because they leave the country to take care of themselves and their children

I swear bro, everything you have mentioned are all social amenities and social amenities are meant to be free. More power to your elbow and I hope the FGN listens in 2022. It will be a huge relief. Transportation costs here are just too expensive.

Our leaders are always flown to other countries for medical treatment without being concerned about the health of the citizens. Many health centres lack adequate equipment for treatment. May God help us
Yeah that's true even though they want to offer free healthcare they still can't offer proper medical check up
I somehow agree with you about the hospitalization. Here in our country, there is a few hospital that offers free checks up. However, you still need to pay in you have to be admitted.
Free check ups is on very rare occasions
In some countries, hospitals and education are completely free.
