"Commitment" is the only sure key to succeed as a blogger
While celebrating our 10th-year anniversary as gospel ministers last week, I was called upon to deliver a lesson on the keys to success and longevity in service. As I stepped out to start the lesson I remembered an interview form sent to me by a friend and a user on this platform that has been lying on my Google drive waiting for my responses. The users seek my responses to a set of questions that bothers on how I manage to be successful in a competitive platform such as the read.cash. He wanted to know what was my driving force to scale through hard times as a writer and I manage to continue to this day. The interview questions on the form become the basics for the lesson I delivered.
There is only one key to success in a competitive environment such as a blogging platform, and that key is nothing else but commitment. It is a prerequisite for progress and advancement. And the reason is that commitment is the only thing that makes you know what your priorities are and what is important.
Commitment in my own definition is something that is a must to attain in life for every person. It is the unspoken cardinal rule to success. It goes beyond talents and knowledge. without commitment knowledge is nothing. Without commitment, talents can never be productive. It doesn't matter what you know or how talented you are, when commitment is missing in your pursuit success will never find you.
Commitment is part of human life. We are all called to commit to one thing or the other. It can be from a simple commitment to your WhatsApp status to a commitment to a spouse. What you do not commit cannot conform. To succeed in any pursuit including blogging, commit yourself 100% and nothing but commitment will stand you a chance. It is simple as that. Once you have committed yourself, the rest becomes easy.
Commitment starts with yourself as a person. You need to be committed to personal discipline that aligns with your goals and aspirations. It is a self-driving force that motivates you to give it one hundred percent. Commitment to a healthy lifestyle is one of the basic commitments you must need to take seriously because it will have a great effect on your productivity and health. Commitment to the things you do will help you stay committed to the task at hand. It's not that you will not have any distractions. You may be tempted to do something else, but don't. You need to spend time focusing on your pursuit because what matters the most is your progress.
Commitment is the key to maturity as a writer. It is the result of dedicating yourself to one thing with all of your heart and soul. As you commit yourself to something you will improve. And if you are not disciplined you will only go up the scale in your journey to success and in the end fall. You need to be disciplined. Don't depend on luck. Work at it by being consistent.
Commitment is the driving force of positive thinking. There is a saying that success begets more success. It is a well-known fact that having a positive outlook on life and work sets you apart from everyone else. Don't let the lukewarm people bring you down. You don't need a negative person for your success. Being positive is the key. You don't need negative people and if you come across them, take the high road and don't engage. It's not worth it. Move forward and stay focused
What you believe you can achieve is half the battle won. You need to see your goal and clear it with the confidence that it is possible. You will be losing if you stay stuck. You don't need an "I can't." You need to be committed. There is no disability that needs to be cured. Believe and commit.
Commitment will help you to endure when things are not going your way. I must confess that my early days as a writer on this platform were tough. I doubted myself and I doubted my abilities. I was prepared to break my limitations and not afraid of failure. Although there was no good reward at the time, I was committed to working myself up and being noticed by the elites on the platform.
My average daily earning at the time was something between $0.25 to $0.80. That was my average daily reward for publishing 2 articles and engaging with over 50 articles in a day. One can easily get discouraged in such a situation, but with my commitment, I was able to cope. I was looking at the big picture and where I could be tomorrow. And, as a friend once told me here at the time, "one day you will be noticed", and guess what, they were right. You too can expect to get noticed through your publications. One day it will happen. That's why you need to be committed.
The dedication you put into your journey to success will guarantee that you reach your destination. The formula is simple. Put your heart and soul into your work. Commit to doing the right thing even when no one is watching you. Believe that what you are doing is worth doing and commit to it. You can be one of the top professionals in the field you choose. You can become a professional through dedication. In other words, don't be afraid to do what you are passionate about. You must be committed to doing the best you can do.
In conclusion
Commitment is the key to success and it's the only key to attaining it. Take it seriously and be determined to reach the highest level of your blogging career. Being motivated to work is not enough. You need to be committed. Don't let low rewards stop you. It takes a lot of motivation to keep yourself working and focused. Believe that you will reach your desired goals if you stay committed to your blog.
One thing I have learned during my time on this platform is that blogging is a lifestyle that you have to adapt to. It's not something you can wake up and do when you feel like it. It is something you have to commit to. You must stay committed to the platform. Be committed to yourself and to the journey to achieving your blogging dreams. It is a journey, and you can't sit down in your chair and expect to go anywhere fast.
Excellent points made here. I've been daunted, I'll confess, many times when I blog, even though understand the need for commitment, staying true to yourself and your goals and laying the groundwork for your platform as you seek to build relationships with your audiences. I guess we all need a little reminder to stay focused from time to time, and so, I am very thankful for your post. Have a great day.
