Ok...I think I have to give in now since this is the second time I was tagged by @jane with the prompt series of @JonicaBradley and this time the topic is about similarities, so let's see where will I end with this topic. It's free writing and honestly, I haven't thought much about it yet.
Let's define similarities first. For me similarities are two or more things, facts or situations that are alike, the same. Just like the twins that looks a like. Just like a tree and a plant that may not look a like but gives the same air to everyone so they still have a similarity.
From the dictionary
the state or fact of being similar.
"the similarity of symptoms makes them hard to diagnose"
a similar feature or aspect.
"the similarities between people of different nationalities"
Let's talk about day and night.
Yes that's right. Do you see any similarities between the two?
If you will just look at it they don't really have similarities at all because one is dark and the other is light. But they do have similarities in that both rotate around the earth. That's one similarity already. But the day is very bright because of the presence of the sun and the night is dark because of the absence of the sun. So both day and night are under the mercy of the sun. Those two already hahaha.
During the day, you can see everything, you can get familiar with your surroundings, you can appreciate the beauty of the flowers, you can see the right path that you are walking on. You can see clearly the food that you are going to put in your mouth. The dress that you are going to wear, you can even choose a shoes that will match your dress. And that is because you can see everything. And by seeing everything you develop the feeling of confidence and security.
While during the night without the electricity you cannot see everything, you cannot appreciate the beauty of the flowers, you cannot see the path that you are walking on, you cannot even identify the colors of the things around you. And during the night, with the absence of light you develop the feeling of insecurity and fear.
Having said the difference of day and night did you see their similarities? Both day and night makes you develop a certain feeling. The feelings might not be the same but both is needed in a person's personality or character. One needs to have confidence for you be able to express yourself. Of course, you also need to have security for you to be able to feel safe. Without fear and insecurity, you won't be able to appreciate the people who are there for you. It will be hard to appreciate the small winnings that you get in achieving things.
Even the things or facts that you thought are dissimilar can still have some similarities if only you will look deeper. Just like with people, you have to know the person really well before you can say you have similarities before you can say that you have so many things in common. Before you can say you really jive well.
Being a light or darkness to someone can still give them good lessons if only you will learn to dig deeper and understand where the person is coming.
And this is my entry for prompt:similarities . I hope I was able to show you the importance of knowing well the things around us and what they can give us. Thanks @jane for the tag and thanks @JonicaBradley for the prompt series. Thanks to UplandDood for the challenge of making me write about Day and Night.

You quite have wisdom. Seeing things and understanding it in deeper ways. I do realize now they have similarities. Sometimes we tend to see the similarities of things because we're too focus on the differences.
