Breastfeeding Journey

As a father, I witness my wife and my daughter's Breastfeeding Journey and I realize the effect, benefits, and advantages of having a breastfed baby, Since day 1, my wife was blessed with having a large amount of milk in her breast, every hour or two her breast becomes painful and bumpy especially on the tip indicating that our little Ari is already hungry, she loves to feed milk every hour, having a large number of moms milk is a blessing not all moms had it, Yes its a blessing, I remember I shared my wife's journey to my co-workers and they are glad my wife has a large amount of milk different from her experience, her breast doesn't have the amount of milk needed to compensate her daughter so they decided to buy milk formula for their baby.

Breastfeeding is very important as this milk is always introduced by doctors once the baby is born to breastfeed the baby because it needs energy and nutrients that exceed what can be provided in infant formula milk, it is first initiated within the hour of birth, given exclusively for 6 months and can be continued up to 2 years old since its is the most powerful practice for a mother to keep her child fed by breastmilk because when a child is exclusively fed with breastmilk, their immune system is boosted, enabling those benefits to avoid life-threatening diseases like pneumonia, diarrhea and other infectious diseases due to bacteria.

Breastmilk advantages for the baby

We are lucky we have a breastfeeding baby because there are a few advantages to a breastfeeding baby, it actually saves lives baby can boost its resistance and immune system as moms milk protects the baby against various diseases because it has natural antibacterial agents, breastmilk provides all the nutrients needed for a baby to sustain all their needs to be healthy, it ensures the safety of our baby because breastmilk is clean, and safe source of food for our baby, it is very comfortable also in case of emergency, mom always carries the food our baby needs, unlike formula babies, there are times we are out of budget, I was glad and happy it ensures my feelings that my little Ari, can grow healthy and strong out of worries unlike formula babies who always experience diarrhea and malnutrition, just like my co-worker shared to me, in a year almost thrice happened her baby experience diarrhea, her baby was fed formula milk since day 1 because her breast don't create enough milk to sustain and compensate her baby for food.

Breastmilk advantages for parent

-As a parent, breastfeeding will always never fail to display the bond between a mother and her child, breastfeeding will always be a way to make bonding time, breastfeeding also reduce the risk of every mother especially those high risk diseases for mothers like ovarian cancer and breast cancer.

- I don't know if it's proven or its effects but I read something in the hospital where my partner gave birth some paper pasted on the wall that breastfeeding is somewhat a method of birth control, a mother can't be pregnant for at least 6 months, 6 months without menstruation, just my partner experience, so it is justified

- Breastfeeding saves money, instead of buying expensive formula milk, and other equipment for feeding infant babies, just breastfeeding is enough, we can save almost 60 dollars every month as long as my wife fed my little Ari with her breastmilk.

-Mothers who are breastfeeding burn extra calories each day helping them to return to their weight before getting pregnant.

-breastfeeding also reduces the risk of postpartum depression and creates a priceless bond between the mother and the baby

The only problem we faced

Now that my Ari is slowly getting old, there are some sort of changes, she started getting stubborn and has a bit of uncontrolled habit, and she starts biting her moms nipple, for months, I can see my wife crying in agony when our baby bites her nipple so we decided to cut the breastfeeding method and started buying her infant formula milk, it takes a month before my little Ari adapts and adjust from real nipple to a plastic nipple, from that day on, we are facing the fear of

" OUT OF BUDGET"

" WAKES UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT TO MAKE A MILK"

As a father, I'm the one waking up in the night to make a milk formula for my baby, because I'm the one who is more sensitive to sounds and wakes up easily.
