The Naked Truth.

Today's lecture was interesting. Our new anatomy lecturer is an associate Professor in Anatomy and his lectures are so educative and enlightening. More so because he tries to relate his teachings to real life challenges. After a five minutes break a guy stood up to ask a question, it led to another thing and from there led to the short story I am about t tell you. Perhaps most of you have have heard of it already...

It's a bright day. The weather was beautiful, the sky, in it's deep-blue majestic colour, looked therapeutic to the eyes. The birds seemed to be singing song of praises to the bright yellow sun shining in it's magnificence. The plants were green, thus improving the whole scenery.

The Truth, sitting down on a beautiful branch with beautiful adornments and shiny raiments, was busy admiring the whole scene. Then came the Lie, walking up to the Truth, he said waving his hands while admiring the beauty of nature, "Good day Truth, isn't it a beautiful day?". Without hesitation, the Truth nodded in affirmation. "Why don't we go out to pluck some of those delicious fruits", said the Lie pointing at a tree, "you will most definitely love them!".

The least the Truth wanted was to be disturbed, she was more okay with admiring the scene rather than plucking fruits, she said "I am more comfortable with sitting where I am, but I will come with you"..and off they went.

They got some of those nice fruits and relished eating them. The Lie then pointed at a group of birds singing at the top of their voice, "don't they look beautiful, why don't we go sing with them?". The Truth starting to get excited nodded an affirmative and off they went. They had a field day singing with the beautiful birds. They sang beautiful songs of nature, they sang for the heavens, they sang for the flowers, they sang for the celestial bodies and every other natural thing you can think of.

They went on to do other beautiful things and in the end, both of them were exhausted. Then said the Lie, "you look so tired, how about taking a swim before retiring your tired bones for the day?". That sounded like a good idea to the Truth and of course she agreed. They both took of their clothes and dived into the water, savoring the coolness of the deep blue sea. The Truth was so lost in the moment that she didn't realize when the Lie sneaked out, dried his body and put on the clothes of the Truth, the said after wearing the clothes with a mischievous smile on his face "now you will have to remain naked forever, only those who have the courage to accept you will, and majority of people won't as they will see you as despicable. They will look at you with scorn and will try to hide you by all means, no one will want to see a naked Truth...and only those who search and seek will recognise who you really are.. Hahaha"...and with this, the Lie went of dress like the Truth, Leaving her crying where he left her.

Till this day, the Lie still hide under the facade of the Truth. Sometimes the Lie realizes his mistake but people still force it to keep on appearing as the Truth. Despite the Truth's nakedness, she never hides because she knows that she's most needed. The reason she isn't sometimes apparent is because we never care to look at her nakedness. Maybe we're afraid, maybe we're scared, or maybe we have gotten so used to the Lie that we thing that those clothes actually belongs to him. Only those with enough courage dare face the Truth despite her nakedness...you shouldn't be ashamed of the Truth because she isn't ashamed either. Nor should she.

Sorry for not visiting your articles, like I said we just finished lectures. Infact we are supposed to finish by 4:00pm but we finished 30 minutes earlier so I am using that time to type this. I'll visit your articles when I get some rest and study my notes.
