That branch we call Bitcoin CASH
I am convinced that Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is the best version of Bitcoin. I have not come to that conclusion through religious experience. But after years of reflection I remain convinced that BCH is not only consistent with Satoshi's approach to what Bitcoin was and how it should scale, but it also seems to me that Satoshi's own position is consistent with reality (that means Satoshi was right).
For Satoshi Nakamoto, the technological solution described in the Bitcoin whitepaper was an answer to the need for a decentralized and censorship-resistant means of payment, and as he presented it, a network that does not depend on the goodwill of its participants, but on the economic incentive that makes it possible for those who are honest to stand up to potential attackers.
Essentially that is Bitcoin. And the security of that Bitcoin that was in Satoshi Nakamoto's mind lies not in a user running five non-mining nodes, but in its proof of work (POW) system; that is, the original Bitcoin is one whose decentralization is manifested in the underlying infrastructure formed by the miners.
Miners, as part of this system, are reliable market players, not because Satoshi assumed that human beings were naturally "good", but because he knew that the principles of economics impose themselves on good wishes because they are a representation (that we have come to know) of reality itself. It is clear then that I am not referring to the asset that everyone knows under the name Bitcoin: I am not referring to Bitcoin-BTC but to another Bitcoin branch.
The Bitcoin branch I support
When I speak of Bitcoin in the terms in which I express myself in the preceding paragraphs, I am referring to the IDEA put forward under that name. An idea with a historical context and that continues to have supporters. That idea lives on in Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Whether Bitcoin-BTC maximalists like it or not, Bitcoin CASH is another branch of the Bitcoin project. It is the continuation of that original approach and the way of thinking that early bitcoiners had.
It' s a branch that in 2017 became a P2P network independent of Bitcoin-BTC (i.e. a different cryptocurrency in terms of name) even knowing that such a decision would mean having to build again much of the infrastructure and the adoption that had been achieved up to that point.
But also a branch that values those classic ideas enough to put them into practice.
That is Bitcoin Cash and of these ideas I am convinced.
The vision of the Bitcoin Cash branch of the Bitcoin project is worthwhile for me because I know that their approach of BCH as decentralized money that can be used around the entire world as a means of digital payment is what humanity will need in the medium and long term.
