Today’s verse is simple to agree with, but hard to do. But which is harder for you to do? Courage can be hard. Sometimes the little things are harder than the big things. As a follower of Christ, sometimes it’s hard to go against friends or society; or at least not do what they are doing. Do you have trouble doing things in love? Today’s verse is a powerful reminder. I know I like to focus on the New Testament because I find the actions and words of Christ amazing. However, even though the Old Testament can be difficult or not as exciting, it is full of reminders of God’s love and patience. It teaches valuable lessons that add to the glory of the New Testament.

Inspiring news. Today’s verse tells us to be translated and pray for each other. It tells us to confess to each other and pray for each other. But why. They can’t forgive our sins. We become real and transparent. We can see that everyone is not perfect, everyone has passion, pain, and sadness. We see that we are all in the same boat. The envy, greed, hatred, disappear. Then we pray for each other. Our prayers are true and righteous.

That is not a physical building, my friend. That is anywhere He is. Since He is everywhere, if we live and trust Him, seek refuge in Him, we are safe. This is my crazy class today. I call them crazy because we always play. I only teach them twice a week, so it requires a lot of activity and games to get them to learn without knowing.

Today we are working on Q and R. It’s hard for them to get it right. For us it seems so easy, right? But their first language is Chinese. So it takes some time. However, they are doing a great job and will get some happy stickers:)

Today’s verse is great for helping us make decisions. Of course, we should always choose the kingdom over material choices, but sometimes we have a tough choice to make. Living in a very materialistic society, it can be difficult for us to choose. However, have confidence that a choice that gives glory and praise to the Lord is a good choice. If you have to carry your cross on earth, the reward in heaven will be great.

This is the perfect verse for our society today. It sends like the news and social media are creating a volatile atmosphere. People are getting offended over anything and anger is at an all time high. Good morning and happy Sunday, my friend. It’s nice and rainy here- much needed. Today is one of our wedding anniversary. I know it’s strange. But we got married in Taiwan court (for legal reasons), at my wife’s family’s house-another day, and in the US for my family. Anyway today is the first. Even though it’s just court, it’s a reason to celebrate, so let celebrate my friend:)

Today’s verse is one that directs to a major point of our lives. What do we want and what does the Lord want us to be. When we are young, we have dreams of what we want to be. The Lord gives us purpose and shifts us either to our goal or away. When we file the Lord s goal, our life has true purpose.

The Lords compassion didn’t end in the Bible, it is extended to us everyday. Sometimes it didn’t feel like He had compassion for us or even care about us. But it is in those times that He is the most compassionate. He knows everything and we don’t. We can only understand a fraction of what is happening, while He understands all. We need to trust in Him.

Halloween is coming and I have a lot of students expecting to have a great Halloween. Unfortunately, their exams are 11/3. So we will have 3 small Halloween parties for them. So now I am making piñatas. I need to make 4-one extra for just in case. I have everything I need. I’ll show you as I go.

I saw this poor tree on my walk. It looks like it’s growing right out if it’s pot. I don’t know the owner or else I’d ask him why he didn’t plant it somewhere else. One thing I think the gnarly roots are very interesting.

Did you have a good night sleep. I slept in a little. Now it’s time to paint the piñatas. I have 4 balloons covered with newspaper. There is no tissue paper to decorate the piñata, so I will paint them. Nothing fancy, just something to let the students have fun during their Halloween party.

Today’s verse AlwAys struck me as interesting. It uses animal imagery. Of course, when I see snake- I think of evil and deception. However, Christ is describing positive characteristics. Does this show a f flaw in me? Don’t judge comes to mind. Anyway, He informs us that people are out there to hurt and destroy His followers. We must be innocent and shrewd.

I love all the flowers on noisecash, so I’m going out of my way to find flowers that I haven’t noticed before. This one stuck me as interesting because the petals have slightly different colors on the inside. I don’t know if you can see it. This flower was high and it was windy. Worst of all, I had to stand over a storm gutter to get this picture:).

So exhausted. We just finished our first trick or treating adventure. Since Halloween isn’t celebrated in Taiwan., we gave our neighbors candy to give the students. Then we played hit the piñata to break the candy out. The students were very happy but I’m so tired. I still have two classes. Tomorrow, we still have two small parties. Halloween in Taiwan I have lived in Taiwan for almost 30 years and I have always felt sorry for the kids here. Even in elementary school, they have exams, lots of homework, and academics are very important. While this is good for some things, it really takes a toll on their childhood. Today’s verse tell us of the importance of our justification and progression of faith. All too often Christians tend to be a silent majority in society. We don’t need to yell and shout like others.
