Jesus Lives- quick to anger

Ecclesiastes 7:9 Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit,     for anger resides in the lap of fools. This verse is really perfect for the world that we live in, don't you think. In the last two years, our world has rapidly changed. I should go further. I have only been around less than half a century and I can already see the way the world has changed for the worse. Am I being too negative? I grew up in a world that had a lot of problems, it wasn't perfect. However, there was no social media, no 24/7 television service, and a lot of other things that we take for granted. There was always a war or threat of war somewhere. So what happened, we got a lot of conveniences, and it should have made everything better, right? Something happened while we were bathing in our splendor. We got accustomed to "now". Things became so fast, that we became addicted to immediate gratification. We became spoiled with likes and people not giving their full opinions. People started to connect "likes" to being right in everything. The ability to get another opinion and critically think about it disappeared in most people. Another catalyst, strictly for profit, is the media. The media has changed from being strictly for news or being for entertainment. By this, I mean today's media politically and emotionally charges everything for their own profit. Nothing is shown for the good of the people, maybe except the weather. If you see it, there is a political spin or it is emotionally charged to lead the fold to where they want us. Here is the beauty of this verse. By putting this verse in our hearts, we have a buffer from this worldly input. We have a chance to reflect on what others are trying to tell us. The world should not be our focus. We should focus on Christ and His will. We should be ready to help others constructively without snapping at each other in anger. This is one of those wisdom verses from the Bible that can make us better if we carry it in our hearts.
