Isn't it strange in the time we are living in now? Where people who have the most, feel like they have the least. People who have the most reasons to be happy, seem to have the least amount of happiness. Why should it be that way? Is it comparison?
Comparing ourselves to everyone who has more in this social media world? Never feeling enough because another person out there is doing better in some area than You?
Comparison is a thief of JOY.
NEVER compare yourself to others. It doesn't matter how great you are. If you do not appreciate yourself for who you are and what you have? You'll never be happy. There is always going to be someone who has more money than you. There will always be someone who has no more wealth than you and even thousands of people who are smarter and more handsome or beautiful than you. If you are always comparing yourself to others, YOU'LL always lose. The one unique thing people can never snatch away from you is YOU.
Your greatest asset is that you are unique. Live your true life. That is the greatest way to live. Then lesser you care about others opinion the happier you'll be. Be grateful for who you are. You lose your happiness and become depressed when you focus on what you don't have. When we appreciate what we do have and focus on where you want to be, we can feel better.
Appreciation and gratitude are the simplest and most powerful way out of being depressed and having low self-worth.
Some people will be like: "I will be happy if ........ occurs in my Life." And a whole lot. But note, you will never be happy setting rules like this in life. This is because life always throws challenges and obstacles to us, but it is up to you to overcome them. You can be depressed and anxious, Yes, they are part of life but they should be for a short while. They shouldn't rule over you. You can sit to figure out the problems that come your way and solve them only if you are grateful for what you have. Appreciating yourself gives you an opened mind to operate and solve your problems. Not wishing for something you know you would hardly get.
Break that habit of over-expecting from others. This is because when they fail You, you find it difficult to appreciate yourself for who you are and what you have.
Comparison is another big issue in this modern world, with the amazing existence of filters which makes you look super good in just a swipe. This same filters when applied in our lives makes us look bigger and better and leaving out the negative things that makes us feel pain.
The happiest people in Life, don't compare themselves to others. We all have different races to complete but the happy people who do not compare themselves to others run their own race in their own time and pace. Happy people don't have the best of everything. They make the best of everything by appreciating whatever they have. In Life, things always never work out as planned. How you respond to the happenings in your life would determine the quality of your life. The pain you feel when you feel you don't have enough is coming from your thoughts. The moment you change your thoughts, you change your life.
The key principle of living a better Life, is appreciating every little thing you have because there is someone somewhere wishing for that little thing. I am grateful to @Read.Cash for this wonderful platform and all those who supported to make this platform a success.
