A Men's Story: The Struggle's Of Men In Courting Women Back In The Past Compared To the Present

Before anything else, let's start this article chill'hustler's biblically. I have never ever done an article with bible verses on it, so this one here is also my first time because I felt the need to put it in the beginning of this article of mine and it correlates to the main topic of this article.

Genesis 1:28

28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

Even in the beginning of human life, men and women are already destined to each other. But as the world continues to change day by day, the harder for men and women to adopt. Without further ado chill'hustler's, let's start rolling...!!!

Note: This article is much more focus only to my Filipino upbringing and the knowledge I've gain as a Filipino when it comes to courting. Hehe...!!!

Boomer's and Gen X

Back in the day for all the Gen X and Boomer's Generation, dating only favors those who has a strong heart, mind and self confidence. You must really rely on your guts and believe in the mysterious power of love. During this times dating are so rare, especially in the provinces or the country sides. If you have a crush on someone during this day's and the parents of the one your falling for are strict, the only way you can get close to her is to come to their house bring some food and you can talk to woman you have a feeling's with. This practice only applies and happens if the parents of the girl are already letting their daughter accepts some suitors, but if the parents are strict and doesn't let their daughter have some suitors yet, the only way you can come close to the one that catch your heart is to do the "Harana". This practice is a form of showing your singing and poetry talent to catch the woman's attention by flexing your talent below or right in front the of her house windows. Harana is special for all these individuals who belongs in this generation, where they gain good old memories. It was just the basic routine and practice I know from the past when it comes to courting woman before technology comes.

During this years also in the remote areas and country side, there are many instances of getting married once you get the chance to grasp the woman from any part of its body and you get caught by the parents of the woman you touch with. Isn't it funny to think if it happens now chill'hustler's? Hehehe...!!! This move is the only choice left for all the those men who are desperate in winning the one they love. The worst scenario's for those men in this generation who are not good in expressing their true feelings and intentions are being left single until they gets old.

During this period also, unwanted pregnancy are too high because of not having the privilege of knowing more about sexual education. Which leads to broken dreams and unwanted marriages.

Millennials and Gen Z

Now here comes the generation of believers in the famous slogan of "YOLO" (You Only Live Once) and the "YWAF" (Young, Wild and Free), but also comes with a song dedicated for them in "Young Dumb and Broke" by Khaled which is soo accurate to the majority of this generation or I can be wrong also. Hehe...!!!

This current generation are the most blessed soo far with the help of technology in terms of courting the one's we love. Dating now in the present is as easy as typing and counting numbers on our keyboards and screens. But even with the help of technology, their are still some downside of it.

Dating the woman's of this generation today are not as easy as we can think of, because of these sole reason of being well inform or knowledgeable. Woman's of these generation has already learn to put standards in someone they choose to love, unlike before mostly rely on true feelings. But the woman of today has these standards of almost everything we can think of in terms of relationship. Adding to it the parent's thoughts and wants of what type of men they are going to marry.

To be able to impress most woman of today, men should be an achiever and a successful person first before marrying. We can't deny the fact that profession, family background, character and appearance are all now part of the criteria of being the right man. I mean not all but mostly.

But there are many upside also with the help of technology of you'll use it the right way. Men who are not good in courting women these days has the chance to get the attention of the woman they love by texting or chatting here directly or even video calling, because it is more easy to express one self in texting and video calling rather than talking the women personally.

Technology plays bigger role in any accpets of our daily lives today chill'hustler's but it also plays the role of making it hard for all the lovers today in gaining and building constant trust individually, because temptations also are just around the corner.

With the help of modern technology and early sexual education to all teenagers, this generation have declining curve of unwanted pregnancy.

Final Thoughts

I personally belong to the Generation X but didn't experience doing Harana, it would be great just for the experience and a memorable one. I will just end this article by saying no matter what generation you are in, if your intentions and goal in winning the one we love is genuine and pure, you'll have a 90% of chance to win the woman's heart your aiming. Because in this world were temptations became a habit, let's all be still and firm in being honest and genuine for it will leads us to the garden of love where we can experience the happiest days of our lives while living here on earth.
