Hello hello hello read-friends! Happy Thursday!
I woke up this morning with a bright smile because finally, I have taken a nap for 6 hours. I only sleep for 3-4 hours most of the time. That is why I'm very cheerful assisting my customers early in the morning. (Tamang tulog is the key for a good mood)
"I think I can't go home."
That's what I replied to my younger brother's message earlier. He was asking if I can go home on my birthday. I told them kasi during my last visit that I will celebrate my birthday with them. I also mentioned this in my previous article as one of the goals this August.
I was firm that I will go home on the 21st. I even set aside some cash to spend for my birthday but unfortunately, I used it. So saddd.
I was planning to celebrate it by the beach. I was so excited to spend it with them because for the last two years I was away from home. I spent my birthdays onsite last 2019 because it's my regular duty. Then last year, due to the strict borders caused by COVID, I failed to go home and I celebrated my day with my board mates instead.
And if ever I can't go this year, I will spend my birthday with my bibii and Ramon - my roomies.
My brother seems to be sad about my response. He is always excited every time he knows that I will be going home. I dunno why. Maybe because he's just so excited to share his girl crushes on Tiktoks and Facebook haha.
I felt sad. I thought I could go home. I have spent my money for my birthday already.
But good thing my Tatay messaged an hour ago. He never forgets my birthday. He is always the first person who will greet me every year. He's so advance. Every time he realizes that it's the month of August, he will contact me and will tell me that my birthday is fast approaching. He's more excited than me. So sweet.
He messaged and asked me if how's my day and also reacted to my Facebook story. I uploaded a short video showing my feet dancing. He's asking what happened to my feet. He asked if "was it itchy" because it seems like it was haha.
He then added a topic about my birthday. So he asked me if I will be celebrating it at home. By the way, my father is not with my family. He is in Davao. So, I replied the same thing that I told my brother.
After knowing the reason, he told me that he will send me some money for my birthday and I told him that it's not necessary. I told him that it's okay but he insisted. I am super blessed to have a Father like him.
We ended our conversations with "I love you's". He's the sweetest man I have had in my life. I thank God for blessing me with a great father.Β
And since my Tatay promised to send money for my birthday, I messaged my brother right away about the good news. However, I received bad news from him. He told me that our province might be locked down due to the high rate of positive COVID victims in our barangay.
I have the excitement of going home earlier but now it appears to be impossible again. It's so risky to go home.
That is why I am thinking right now if I should go home and celebrate my birthday with my family or just stay away from the possibility of getting sick. And you'll know that I can't be sick. No one will take care of my family if ever it happens.
So what do you think? Should I go or stay?
Thank you for your time reading this my awesome friends in this fantastic virtual world! God bless us all! Saranghae!

Hooray for more than 500 views. π₯³ buti pa nga dito madaming views, samantalang ang Youtube channel ko, waley. Ang konti lang noon. Hahaha. Drama. I do not know how you spent your birthday this year but let me greet you a belated happy birthday. I think my suggestion would be is to just stay where you are and celebrate it with your roommates and family in Davao (virtually). If you can arrange a food delivery to your house so that your family can still celebrate it while you guys are on video call. Isabay ang pagblow ng cake. The new normal quarantine birthday. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed your special day. I am sure you have published an article about that so I just have to read it in the coming days.
