One of the most famous intersections in Bucharest, the capital of Romania. At the University! This is its name. Here are two famous buildings of the city, the Intercontinental Hotel, which was for thirty years the tallest building in the city, and the National Theater of Romania. I live on the outskirts and after I retired I didn't go through this place too often. I was there recently and I was surprised to see that a statue appeared in the middle.

@BlueDan

The sunflower is the summer flower, a flower quite common in the posts here. Usually, being a flower that is cultivated for its seeds, we find it in the fields, in large fields. But there is also the decorative sunflower, cultivated only for the flower. I also planted some seeds in the spring and now I have the reward, they have blossomed. The sunflower in my yard!

@BlueDan

You know what the sunflower looks like after losing its petals. It is the time when the seeds mature and will not be harvested for a long time. By cold pressing, we obtain a very good quality oil, but most of it is processed industrially and a super-refined oil is obtained, but which loses its initial qualities.

@BlueDan

The sea still calls us, we hear it but, unfortunately, it is harder to reach it. I speak on behalf of those who live far from the sea. The nostalgia of the past travels embraces us and we extinguish the longing with older photos. When I talk about the sea, I don't mean luxury and expensive resorts and hotels. I prefer the small and wild beach, without people, where to be alone with the big sea!

@BlueDan

Dear colleagues, would you like to be a child again? Looking at the perspective of age and experiences so far, the answers may be different but I think few would miss the chance to take it from the beginning! Even if you think I'm not honest, in this collage I mainly watched ... the shadow.

@BlueDan

What could be done this summer if travel is out of the question? I think it's best to look near the house or city where we live, a place with a generous nature and an equally generous shade. Walking or cycling. A natural way to cleanse stress in us.

@BlueDan

I live in a big city and I have a small yard. I wish it was the other way around! Because the yard is small and because my family loves plants and trees, I crowded as much as I could in both ways. This is not exactly good for plants, once they grow in each other and don't grow properly and, because there are trees, they provide shade, very good for me but sometimes not very liked by the small flowers wanting to sun. I have several rose bushes and I will try to bring them…

@BlueDan

I think all people take a look at a window that behaves like a mirror and reflects the image. We want, we don't want, the mirror attracts us, the image it shows attracts us ... Do you have this habit too? This photo from a seaside resort reflects the sea in a hotel window. The rest of the characters are fleeting and can be ignored!

@BlueDan

I don't like cold seasons, winter, and the pieces of autumn and spring that mix with winter. But now, after so many stiflingly hot days, I remember with pleasure the autumn that was preparing to turn into winter. I am sure now that when it is winter I will have a heartbreaking longing for summer. Human inconstancy!

@BlueDan

In the city where I live, Bucharest in Romania, is the second-largest administrative building in the world, after the Pentagon. It is about the Palace of the Parliament, built during the communist period of the country under the name of the People's House. Everything seen in this image was built in the 80s, after a large part of the historic center of the city was demolished. Buildings of great architectural value disappeared then. Because of this, most residents don't like…

@BlueDan

On weekends, there are several important boulevards that are closed to cars. They remain open only to pedestrians for walking. This is a wonderful initiative of the authorities, I am really surprised that it is happening. Less pollution and more movement!

@BlueDan

I like to see exhibitions of paintings, even if the painter is still unknown. Talent and art can be found in unsuspected places. Yesterday I saw a painting exhibition, after more than a year off. Although the painter was a stranger to me, I really liked his paintings. Used to go to exhibitions?

@BlueDan

I don't like to break flowers. We know a lot about plants, we learn at school, we read but I think we don't know everything. The plant is something alive, grows, lives, and dies. Almost like us humans. That's why I'm reluctant to break a flower ... I bought these from the market.

@BlueDan

Have you ever thought about the roots of trees that could be fingers? As an image. The old trees, with cracked bark, look like elephant legs and the roots look like fingers spreading across the ground.

@BlueDan

Life in the countryside. Those who grew up in the country and then moved to the city stay alive with the nostalgia of life, maybe harder, but so beautiful and healthy in the country. My younger brother stayed in the country and every time I visit him, I enjoy everything in his yard.

@BlueDan

This summer is hot and we are trying to hide somewhere from the too strong sun. A place at a table, in the shade, even in the smallest yard, like mine, is a joy. When the rains come I will look for an umbrella ... when winter comes I will stick to the stove ...

@BlueDan

This is what happens when you are undecided and don't choose before putting it on the stove. Fish or sausages? Easy or hard to choose? Definitely easy for vegetarians ...

@BlueDan

I thought of putting a photo of each season. Where I live there are four seasons and now I start with winter because I need a little natural coolness. I just look at this image and I feel a chill on my skin. Winter in my little yard ... #photography #seasons #winter

@BlueDan

As some of you know, I thought I'd post a photo of each season. . Where I live there are four seasons, and yesterday I posted about winter. Now comes, of course, spring. The season of the first flowers. The season of flowering trees! #photography #seasons #spring

@BlueDan

I continue the journey through the seasons, the time has come for summer. For me, summer means the sea! Even though I have to travel hundreds of kilometers, I try in every car to see the sea. I succeeded this year as well, even if I didn't get where I wanted to go. Instead, I found new places. Shabla, on the Black Sea, in Bulgaria. #photography #seasons #summer

@BlueDan

Some of us live in those parts of the earth where there are only two seasons, others, as I am, live in a climate where there are four seasons a year. Certainly, these seasons differ even if they are called the same, both in the part with two seasons and in the part with four seasons. I thought that I could show what the seasons are like for me and I am waiting for someone who lives in a place with only two seasons to present us images from his country. Thus we will learn…

@BlueDan

Some dogs are shyer, they hide from others, either humans or dogs. This is Dora, a very good dog, but shy. she likes to be left alone ...

@BlueDan

The day after the weekend, the day after Sunday is hard, even if for me it's not like that anymore, because I don't go to work anymore. However, 40 years of work made Monday not dear to me at all. Without any connection with everything I said before, I like yellow flowers and I find that they are the majority in my small garden. Do you like yellow flowers?

@BlueDan

To the island! Everyone with what they can, me with the ferry, the seagull with the flight ... In fact, what do I mean? Because you don't know how to get to your favorite place faster, where you feel good, where you have been dreaming of getting on vacation for a year! August is the holiday month, even if I prefer September ...

@BlueDan

I feel that the beach is waiting for me, almost deserted, far from hotels, restaurants, and crowds. Because this is my sea. There are two more weeks and I'm afraid something will happen that will stop me from getting there. Today there are 550 new cases of Covid, let's see how many there will be at the beginning of September ... #travel #photography

@BlueDan

Before I go to bed, quite early (but I'm exhausted), I have to see some more flowers. Maybe this last image before I fall asleep will bring me a peaceful sleep and a long-awaited rest. Poppies are so fragile, the color so intense, they are among my favorite flowers. Moreover, for me, their flowering is a sign that I have to look for the sea!

@BlueDan

Something to buy, something to sell ... In all the resorts we find such objects exhibited for sale, objects characteristic of the place, objects to buy as a souvenir or as a gift. The offer is so enticing that I can't help but buy, even if sometimes the money is low... #travel #photography

@BlueDan

I noticed that it is good for me to post a flower before bed. It calms me down and drives away thoughts about the unpleasant things that usually run in my brain after I put my head on the pillow ... This is a flower, that is, the flower of a shrub that I do not know its name. I only know that I liked it very much as a child and I was fascinated by its intense scent.

@BlueDan

When we talk about a dog's life, it's not always bad. I know some dogs that have an extremely good life. Not necessarily because they have good food and a house. They have a lot of love, sometimes more than I can understand ...

@BlueDan

A flower for a peaceful sleep! It's past midnight, it's time for sleep. I have to follow the habit of looking at a flower before bed, it can only do good. I want to check if it's good for me. Good night!

@BlueDan

Strange constructions, constructions that obviously were difficult to execute. Constructions that are no longer useful now, no one uses them anymore ... These are useless but they have their beauty and grandeur. I wonder what would be better, to be demolished to clear the land for other constructions or to be left, to remain as a kind of monument, a reminder that nothing is eternal! #photography #thoughts&questions

@BlueDan

In the middle of the city, surrounded by high blocks, shops, and alleys full of cars, is this monastery. It's called Antim. It is both a museum and an active place of worship. Why is it so important? Because this was the first printing house, books were printed, and then the first library was set up. Because it is an example of early Romanian architecture, the Brancovenesc style. #mytown #photography #architecture

@BlueDan

I think it's a wonderful feeling to be able to cut the water, to slide so fast in such a small boat, which is almost invisible, a kayak. When I look at the athlete who drives the kayak, I have the impression that it is very easy, but I am convinced that it is not so. It takes a lot of training and works for the kayak and the athlete's body to behave as a whole. Go kayaking, one more thing I know I'll never do!

@BlueDan

The beginning and the end! Glad to see a new day begin! Surprised that I know that in other parts of this earth a day ends ... We all live in our little piece of reality. Let's enjoy this chance! #life #photography

@BlueDan

I remember my childhood and the biggest adventure that could be for me, a vacation at the sea. For me, the sea meant to change, getting out of boredom from the plain city. Beyond the beach, bathing in the sea, food other than at home, there was something else I liked, the seagulls! I could only see them by the sea ... Now the seagulls have invaded my city from the plain, which is far from the sea. Seagulls have become city birds, just like pigeons! #mycity #photography

@BlueDan

Last night I dreamed of winter! I think I was impressed by the storm that was yesterday in the north of the country, where my brother lives, and who sent me some photos with the snow that fell in the middle of summer ... The climate is playing harder and harder with us. Some pictures after the most beautiful snow last winter. #winter #photography

@BlueDan

I think seagulls are some of the most greedy birds. Every time I went by ferry I saw these scenes. Feeding seagulls by tourists. Sometimes there were wounds on the fingers ... The seagulls' gratitude to those who fed them didn't make them more delicate in catching prey. In fact, even the tourists didn't act out of I don't know what pity, it was just fun.

@BlueDan

Coffee has become an addiction. Drink for relaxation, drink for refreshment. Anyone knows how to make a coffee, in fact, is not a great philosophy, boiled water and one, two teaspoons of ground coffee. From this little pleasure has now come a colossal industry. Because coffee is better when it is made by someone else and when he is a barista, everything becomes art. I like coffee, I make it myself at home twice a day. When I go to a cafe it's a treat!

@BlueDan

Chances are I'll get to the beach again. Over a week. In the meantime, I am watching how the number of Covid infections increases both in my country, Romania, and in the neighboring country, Bulgaria, where I want to go to the sea. The Black Sea! This sea is both in Romania and in Bulgaria, I prefer Bulgaria because it is more beautiful. I say it with regret but I have to be objective. Anyway, I'm grateful it's close to my house, I'll be there in three or four hours. I just…

@BlueDan

The most spectacular flowers I can find in a park in my city are lotuses. Lotuses are not flowers specific to the climate where I live, so the existence of these lotuses is an enigma to me. Every opportunity to see this lotus-filled pond fills me with joy and I try to share this joy with you. I wish you a pleasant weekend!

@BlueDan

Strange that large constructions appear in small countries, which can not afford such extravagances. The Palace of the Romanian Parliament, the second-largest building in the world. Construction began in the 1980s, during the communist period of the country. The construction was completed after the country became democratic. The new society woke up to this huge construction and did not know what to do with it. Eventually, it became Parliament. Maintenance and repair costs…

@BlueDan

In Europe, the continent where I live is still summer now. It was a hot summer, I think the hottest I've ever had. So hot that now, when it's 22 degrees Celsius and I feel cold! Summer is the season for fresh vegetables. One of my pleasures is eggplant salad with baked bell peppers. Eggplants and peppers should be baked before making a salad. The tastiest is when baking is done on the grill, with a wood flame ...

@BlueDan

We talked about vegetables, now is the time for meat. I think there are few who don't like steak (except vegetarians and vegans). Speaking of men, there are quite a few who are helpless in the kitchen and are waiting, hungry, for the help of a woman. I want to show that it is extremely simple to make a steak yourself! A piece of meat, on which salt, pepper, and a little oil are put. Then put it in a pan and fry for a few minutes on both sides, over high heat. That's all,…

@BlueDan

Autumn is approaching imperceptibly, the mornings are getting colder. It was a sudden transition from the summer heat ... I'm trying to adapt to autumn with some photos from last year, taken on a walk through the largest park in Bucharest. You know: Bucharest, the capital of Romania, a country of Europe, for better information. #photography #seasons #life
