In my part of the world, winter is struggling to settle...
The street I live on, late October. After yesterday's post, where I linked to a blog of mine on another network, I learned two things. That our colleague, @moonlight22 is a colleague of mine on the same network, and that she liked this photo of mine, which I have now decided to post here. Late autumn makes flowers stop believing in winter.
It's been another week without opening noise.cash. I had such a long absence at the beginning of my activity here, when I was lumped into the category of those who post worthless content (I don't know who was determining this, my colleagues' vote or various bots?) and I got upset. I didn't log in for a couple of weeks, I'm not sure anymore and then curiosity pushed me to see what else was going on and I saw that I had been removed from the category of stupid. Since then, that is to say for about seven months, I have not missed the daily postings until now when for other reasons I could not function. Due to high blood pressure and low pulse... Now I'm better and hope the condition will improve. I want to wish everyone, unfortunately belatedly, Happy Holidays or Happy Winter Holidays, I really don't know how to say because we are so different here, with different religions, beliefs, and customs. I wish you all the best, whatever... I have a small house and an equally small yard. They are for me my universe, my world, and that is why I have tried to fit them into a globe, like a world globe. I've been writing for four and a half years on a blogging site, actually, a blockchain, the rewards I get from my colleagues' votes are in crypto. In those years I've written a blog every two days, and let me tell you, it hasn't been easy. Now, at the end of the year, I participated in a contest organized by the community of photographers in which we are asked to post our most interesting moments of 2021, with photos and explanations. The photo above is from my post in the contest. https://tinyurl.com/yckdb38e I have not posted here links to programs or sites in which I have any interest. Now I'm making an exception and hope it's not considered spam, I'm putting my blog link for anyone who wants to know more about me. I'm glad to be back here with my postings which I hope will be daily. Thank you!
I haven't traveled in a long time, the last one was 4 months ago, a short vacation at sea. After I retired I thought I would travel more, this was my dream. Unfortunately, reality never resembles dreams. I traveled far less than I had hoped. Now I remember a trip to the north of the country, in a very rainy summer. Lots of green and a few sheep.
With the end of the year approaching, I am more and more nostalgic ... more and more memories! Time passes so fast and I don't know how to stop it. I mean, I know the only method, but it's not indicated. I remember the time when I had to have a camera to take a picture. My old camera has become a trinket now.
After a long absence, it's hard to come back. At least it's hard for me. I'm glad I can do it and can't think of anything good to post right now except some flowers. Flowers always get us out of trouble, especially us, men. I hope to get back to the cadence of the past and thanks to those who have waited for me... if there are any more!
One of my favorite flowers but one I don't have in my garden. Callistephus, the scientific name that the Greeks think is easiest to understand because it is made up of "kalli" and "stephos" which leads to the meaning of beautiful crown. In Romanian, it has a somewhat bizarre name and that was a mystery to me when I was a child and these flowers were everywhere in my grandmother's garden: "bull's eye"! Their time has passed here where I live but I have read that the origin of the flower is from China and Korea and I suspect it has spread all over the world and there are still many places where it is in bloom.
It was beautiful autumn and I loved it. Now it's been raining for a week and the temperature is dropping. I don't like it anymore. I've had bad flu for a week now and it's been tormenting me. I haven't been very active here because I couldn't. Temperature, headaches, coughing... I'm sorry I've been away so long. I missed you all! To forget about all this unpleasantness I have to think about summer, the sea! I hope...
A neighbor of mine has lots of dogs, small, white, and fluffy. They are playful and curious. Because the neighbor has covered the gates the little puppies take advantage of any place to look out onto the street. Their curiosity is huge!
A gentleman dressed elegantly, after the fashion of the beginning of the last century. I wonder what he was doing hanging from that building? Can anyone guess? It's a doll. A character in a play. The building he's hanging from is a theatre, the Cub Theatre.
Something that needs to be done daily for our health. Drink at least two liters of water. For me, it's a big problem. I forget to drink water because I rarely feel thirsty. This is a recommendation of all doctors, it means it is important. I don't know how I will solve this problem but I am glad that my granddaughter is training for it.
I'll say it again and again, I've found that my main activity lately is... walking. Like all of you, I love to walk, but only now I have realized that walking has become my main mode of relaxation. Slowly, slowly overtaking the other pleasures I still have. The explanations are these, among others... age, the need to do at least some semblance of sport, the pandemic. There's probably more but I can't identify it now. The gorgeous weather this late November is pushing me daily to walk in the parks near my home. Thus I have seen again the wild ducks that now have become tamer and are no longer afraid of people, moreover, they wait for people to feed them. Soon winter will come, the lake will freeze over and these birds would starve to death if people did not come to feed them.

That's what it's like in my courtyard this fall. I think it looks like the rainy season that our colleagues who only have two seasons keep talking about. I don't know how the rainy season manifests itself, does it rain all the time? I don't think that's possible, it probably just rains every day. Their advantage is that they know when it will rain, we in the four seasons don't know when it will rain. We have, of course, the most accurate information now, I remember from my youth when the weather was just "probably".

There is nothing better than seeing the joy of children. I am smitten with my granddaughter and am happy whenever I go with her to the park, to the playground. It's not easy with such a young child, who doesn't know what the forbidden and "no can do" means! It is not easy but it fills me with joy her sincerity, her desire to have it all, her belief that everything is possible and allowed. I don't even remember the time when I probably believed the same!
I do it belatedly but I have to say that I love the special numbers, as I'm sure you do too. I can't get past this first impressive number of my followers. Thank you all! At the same time I know that the number itself doesn't mean as much as it seems, certainly a lot of these followers are no longer active or interested in me. There is however a group I can call my friends, whom I see daily and am grateful for their interest! We all went from follower to friend and that shows the value of noise.cash, thank you noise.cash! 3333!
When it's summer and warm outside I remember the cool moments of fall and winter and now, when it's too cool, I remember and miss the warmth of summer. I could say that I am eternally unhappy but I am not, I also know how to enjoy each season. Summer heat I most often associate with the sea but today I was reminded of walking through the city center where the concrete buildings, the asphalt and the burning sun turn everything into a huge furnace. When I think of that I realize how good it's in this cool autumn!

The joys of summer, which I associate with the joys of vacation, with a brief part of life in which I forget about burdens and obligations, are increasingly distant. Their colors fade, fade slowly, slowly...

I love so much the flowers that fight to the end, I think of their life as a fight against the winter enemy that will defeat them until the end. But they will die beautifully and, thankfully, autumn still protects them. This weekend has been wonderful. I hope yours was too!

End of season. That's when I find holidays attractive, at the end of the season when there are few tourists left. No crowds, no excessive heat, cheaper, there are plenty of arguments to recommend the end of the season. Nostalgia for a time gone by, nostalgia for the end of the holiday, nostalgia for the end of summer, and the desire to return next year.
The first beach I saw on the island of Thassos, on my first trip there. After getting off the ferry, we got on the road towards Limenaria, the small town where we were staying. I looked towards the sea and saw a man and a woman on a small undeveloped beach, a beach just for them. I liked them very much and suddenly it occurred to me that they were Adam and Eve! Later, when I looked at the photo more closely, I saw that there was someone else in the water that somehow spoiled my vision, but I thought that it was the "snake" and then he fit into the story...
With autumn comes nostalgia. The images of summer, their light, and joy. Beyond the sweltering heat that I can hardly bear, summer remains my favorite season. Just as the football team I loved as a child has remained my favorite, even if it is not as good anymore. In the same way, summer was my childhood dream and it will remain so, even if in over sixty years it has changed a lot... #photography

Tuesday is the tree day! I mean I usually write about trees. That's been happening where I've been writing for over four years. A colleague from there, who is also a colleague here, @old-guy-photos, has devised a challenge called TreeTuesday. It's a photo challenge and it would be easy to put only photos of trees but, being a blog site, you need, besides the photos, to have some interesting, attractive text. It's not easy!
The very nice weather encourages me to enjoy the city parks. As well as the autumn colors, much in evidence here, I'm also drawn to the little creatures that have found a home in the parks. Especially the birds. Here they are protected and receive food from those who walk and enjoy them. Children especially.

How far away childhood is from us now, of course, in different proportions depending on our age. Even the youngest teenagers try to run away from childhood as quickly as possible, not knowing what they are missing. They will find out much later...
It's been a long time since I've put up a flower. Flowers are everywhere, but a botanical garden is their home. One of the most beautiful gardens is in the city of Iasi, where I lived for almost a year. We visit the garden every weekend. I even have a lot of photos. Today I want to show you the dahlia! #photography

Today I was on a visit. I visited a park dear to me, the Circus Park. There I met two exceptional painters. Nature and Autumn! They gave me a painting. Their latest painting, which they painted at the very moment we met. I must show it to you... Bucharest, 12 November 2021 #photography #nature
Yesterday I had some work in the city center and from there I had to go to a friend's house. To get to her house, I had to cross a park. The park is called Cismigiu and is the oldest park in my city, Bucharest. Bucharest, the capital of Romania. It's not a big park, but it has a lot of things packed into it. Kiosks, playgrounds, many statues, a restaurant called Monte Carlo. A famous restaurant many years ago, when I was a kid. Back then, in the 1960s, it was a celebration if my parents took me for a walk in Cismigiu and if I went to the restaurant. Beyond all this, it is the natural beauty and landscape that make this park famous. #photography #nature

I saw a young lady and I really liked the way she looked... I liked the way she matched her hairstyle with her clothes. I love it when I see people like that who have the time and strength to think about how things can be brought into harmony. I think she feels good about her image, I feel good looking at her!
I can't get enough of this fall and need to keep enjoying the colors it brings. I know there are only a few more days left for these leaves before they hit the ground and their light fades. Perhaps some have grown bored with so many of these photos. But they reflect the beauty of nature at this moment that must not be lost. In a month's time, when everything will be grey and wet we will not have forgotten the fiery red! #photography
