Farmland Soulful Musings Happy New Week, read. cash! Just a quick sop here before going back to my endless to-do-list. It's Monday, so you know what's up! Sigh! One hot Saturday afternoon when the temperature kept increasing, everything seemed not right. It was a weekend and my daughter was uncomfortable being stuck in the house. We decided to go on a short trip to my mom's house and visit our dog Sofia as well. I hailed a trike since I don't own a vehicle and took us to the farmland - a 20-minute drive from our house. The road on our way was full of greens. The breeze of the countryside was very inviting. The smell of tress and the rice field were mesmerizing as the birds happily singing their songs as we passed by. As we got at mom's gate, our dog wagged her tail and embraced us as we were getting inside the house. Oh, how happy this dog is. Right after that, my daughter and I took our dog for a walk at my grandparents' orchard just at the back of mom's house. There it is - a happy hyper dog. When we started strolling, Silly dog Sofia stopped at one of my mom's Marigold's plants and pee lol. As we continued walking along, she found another stay dog in the middle of the orchard. I think she did not like any other pets around lol. Her hyperness went to the highest level of extreme like beyond explanation.

When we reached the core of the orchard, we began out on foot to the mahogany trees. This is my favorite element of our walk as you can see the quite tall trees waving their leaves with the wind. We sat there for a few moments as we let Sofia roam around. We took a couple of snap shots and simply experience the splendor around us.

A few moments of solitude, we decided to go back home and rest. On our way, we say a couple of papaya fruits and one of them is almost ripe. I was tempted to pick it, but I changed my mind haha. Little things made our dull day meaningful.

When we got back home at mom's house, I gave Sofia a quick bath and fed her before I took a rest. I likewise had a full back massage an hour later after that while my daughter went to her cousins next door for some chichats. It was good day. Just thought I'd share!

Let's keep everything in perspective, my friends. Remember to take rest breaks too. Breathe. Even if it is only a few minutes holding your coffee, allow yourself to catch your breath and just be. Wishing everyone a manageable Monday wherever you are in the world. Woof!
