Never Regret The Things That You Have Done
Today's post is about another motivational story worth sharing. It is about how we are blinded by what we see around us and fail to see what is real inside every one of us.
The Homeless
One morning when a business owner opened his shop a homeless young man was sleeping right at the shop's main door. The homeless guy appeared to be very unpleasant.
Upon seeing that scenario, the businessman felt discomfort and drove away the homeless guy. The business owner next to his shop saw what he did and was disgusted by how the man treated the homeless.
That was the incident several times. The homeless guy seems to be residing at the main door of his small establishment during the night. It becomes his sleeping quarters.
The business owner always drove him away and sometimes he would harm the homeless guy physically so as to make him keep him away quickly. It was like the man was so allergic to the guy’s appearance and odor.
One day when he opened his shop, he was surprised because no homeless beggar was sleeping at the main door of his establishment. He was pleased and felt relieved because he can start his day stress free. But he turned his head left and right just to make sure the guy was really not there that day. The business owner next to him had noticed and knew what the man was looking for. She said the homeless guy was gone. There was no reaction from him and never dared to ask why. He doesn’t care.
The next day, the man was expecting that the homeless guy would come back but did not. A couple of days had passed and he was kind of curious about why the guy just spares his shop. Somehow he was a bit bothered. So he decided to look at the CCTV footage from his shop's surveillance camera.
He was shocked by what he had seen in the footage. The homeless guys fought with some bad guys trying to break into his shop. One of the burglars held a knife and stabbed the homeless guy while trying to prevent them from breaking in.
The man couldn’t believe what he saw. He was suspended in his chair and could do nothing but cry. He felt guilty and was filled with remorse.
Reflection
Sometimes we tend to judge so easily. For some reason we hate to see things irritating to our eyes or nasty odor near us. We are so uncomfortable with ugly people around us. We think that it might bring bad luck to our business or even infect us with disease.
There are people who are fond of judging others according to their physical appearance. The worst is that it can easily harm substandard people both physically and emotionally.
They hate dirty looking people with good personalities but never see themselves for who they really are. They always fail to see what is on the inside because they are blinded by what they see on the outside.
This is how they see themselves. They are so concerned about their own physical appearance but failed to see their true self.
Sometimes we regret things we have done. We should regret things that we have not done instead of things we have done.
If the man could have done good things to the homeless guy from the start perhaps he never regretted the cruelty he has done to him while he is still alive.
It’s Christmas time again and a lot of needy and homeless people are wandering on the street despite the health threat. Let us not be like the business man in the story.
Don’t think that what you can give is so small you never know that what you gave might be very helpful to the person.
Thanks for reading. Ciao!

Awww why do I feel sad about this? 🥺 I was thinking about the murder case in Mlang and now to this. Ito yung nagpapatunay na wag masyadong mayabang at mangdown ng kapwa kasi di natin alam sila pala makakatulong saten
