CHAPTER 6

A Cup Of Espresso

Evan started walking fastly towars the cafe , his stomach churning. He didn't understand why he felt so anxious; this was just coffee after all. He stopped at the store Anna works at and looked around the street he indeed saw a cafe just around the corner . Evan rushed to the cafe .

Luckily Anna wasn't there yet .Evan was relieved he ordered a cold glass of water as he got thristy after all that walking . That's exactly when he saw Anna coming to the table he was seated looking as beautiful as always. She greeted him with a warm smile.

" well well someone came early ?" She asked cheerfully.

Evan looked at her and smiled, he was really grateful she had arranged this meetup and have cofee together .

He ordered a Cup of espresso while Anna got herself a cup of Cappuccino topped with a rose like froth Evan couldn't keep his eyes off her those Hazel eyes of hers always made him feel lost in them. They were like puddles of honey .Warm and bright . His Gaze never got off her face . Anna saw this and blushed

"Wouldn't you ask why i wanted to meet you here ? " asked Anna

Evan suddenly realized he had been staring at her for all this time

"She must be thinking im such a weirdo " Evan thought to himself .He cleared his throat and said

"I was about to ask you about it . Why are we here ? " asked Evan

Anna Started stirring her cup as she turned towards him and said

" Its about my brother ,As you know the situation better than any friend i have. i needed your advise on something"

Evan was a lil bit confused as what help could he be ?

"I would be glad if i can be off any help to you ." Said Evan as he smiled

"That's really sweet of you Evan . Its about my Brothers kidnapping ." Answered Anna

Evan raised his eyebrows and sat straighter in his seat. His face immediately scrunched up in concern.

" I've called the police but they wouldn't even bother checking on the case. They don't think it is a matter to them,as if it doesnt matter if their son has been kidnapped by some evil villain or not.They say it will not affect anything,and if anything it might even make the investigation easier " explained Anna

Evan took a deep breath before continuing

" I need your help to search for my Brother and bring him home again."

"Of course " said Evan "Where is he right now?".

Anna sighed heavily and closed her eyes to compose herself before answering

"The police haven't been able to find his trail anywhere.He seems to have disappeared from the face of this earth.."

"And the kidnappers?" Asked Evan

Anna put her head down and shook it sadly. She looked back up to see Evan staring intensely into his eyes. He seemed to be analyzing her features.

"I've tried everything possible, to look for him, till now i have made this file .It has all the minor details that i could land my hands on the missing reports of kids 3 years ago, all the information about my brother , Nothing seems to work.I need your help. If you find my brother I promise you you'll get one of those chocolate cakes from the shop next door.I'm sorry to have bothered you, I really did think I could trust you with this..".

Evan nodded solemnly and Held her hand

"Well,let me go read this file and then we can start our search " Anna let out a sigh of relief. She knew Evan was a good guy,but she still couldn't help but feel guilty for asking him to do something so dangerous.

Evan assured her he will help her out and took the file from her as he rose from the Chair as they bid goodbye and went seperate ways.
