Can this information be simplified for newbies to understand?
I can only understand that there is a new update of nodes coming in and the need to have the software ready. But it will be better if someone can say this in lay man's language.

Looks like dishonest political manipulation, but, maybe they really believe that based on little evidence. Or maybe they know something I do not. Certainly possible.

We need a determined split, else the BCHN miners will either beforehand, or after their first orphaned block, return to Bitcoin ABC mining.
The incentives involved are truly complex and includes the fact that the orphaned block can still be salvaged if extended on, that block rewards cannot be moved until after 100-block maturity, that hashrate can change at any point so I have a hard time pinning down any math to explain it, but I have a very strong feeling that given the market information available, the non-IFP chain once orphaned by any IFP-miners, won't be abandoned. From my perspective, there's a lot of value to be gained from a miner who just "lost" a block due to orphaning to extend it because doing so have two possible outcomes: Either the orphaned chain gets extended to be the most work and overtakes the IFP-chain, in which the miner gets the orphaned block reward **back**, or the orphaned chain permanently splits the network in chich case the miner gets the orphaned chains tokens which based on the developer, miner, business etc statements so far (and future markets), would likely be worth significantly more than what they would've gained by accepting the loss and start mining IFP blocks.
I am a bit more at ease now.
Its a shame that you neglect funding and sponsoring roadmap completion just to abandon the founding team thats making it all happen for an anonymous psyop group thats not making that happen.
The competing implementations have pretty much all made public commitments to what they intend to work on, and are delivering on that work.

Very important. Most miners seems to run BCHN now, but we need to be sure exchanges does as well.
Totally agree on running BCHN but you didn't tell anything in advance that you will be freezing accounts from sending and receiving trough wallet this 15th. If you tend to this anytime you see fit, then your wallet is not very reliable one.
