The Black Rope

In the olden days, culture is being practiced. It's practiced in full.

Back then, in the kingdom of Ojì, wars were fought frequently. The Ojì kingdom is known for fighting battles.

What do they fight battles for? The fight battles for land, for position, for slaves, for achievements, for more powers and charms. Whenever the Ojì kingdom wants to wage war againt other villages, they send a black rope to their King. This is the make other kingdoms know that war is coming.

THE BLACK ROPE DEPICTS WAR.

The Ojì kingdom has won so many battles and they're known as one of the greatest warriors of all time. This continued for over two hundred years. And within this period of time, no other kingdom was able to defeat them. They had power!!! The Ojì kingdom was so powerful.

At times, the Ojì kingdom will just invade other villages. They invade villages and we can call them thieves at night😁. They come like a surprise. You know that feeling when you're sleeping and someone comes to you. Have you felt it before?

The kingdom has no black rope so they used to dye other colours of rope to be black. They buy the dye from a particular village. This village is the only village that produces a black dye in the whole of that region.

Unfortunately, they had a dispute with that particular village and decided to invade them. They destroyed everything that belongs to that village without leaving anything behind. They also killed the women but took the men to their kingdom and used them as slaves. They took some women and used the as cooks in their kingdom. Some of the warriors also take some to Ojì kingdom so as to get married to them.

The most amazing part of this is that, the King goes to the warfront with them. Infact, he leads the war. To be a king in Ojì Kingdom, you must be a great warrior. You need to have numbers of people that you've killed because it's part of your achievement.

They killed old men and little babies that were not strong enough to be slaves. They were so stupid to have forgotten that they buy their black dye from this particular village. They didn't even bother to learn how to make the dye before destroying the kingdom. And they've forgotten that there's no other place they could get the black dye.

One day, the King felt sick. Like I said earlier, culture and traditions were practiced at the maximum level. They made divinations and the oracle revealed what could make the King get better. The oracle then revealed that only "a black rope" could make the King get better.

They went to the store where they kept black ropes and realized it's finish. They checked if they could get the dye so they'll change the colour of another rope but they were unable to get the dye.

The King's horseman and some of the King's messenger traveled to find a black dye but all their effort was to no avail. They went from one village to another but they didn't get the black dye.

When they got back to the kingdom, the people saw them being hopeful that they've gotten the black rope and later realized that they came back empty handed.

Then the oracle gave another option. The oracle asked them to release all the inmates in the kingdom. They did so and the King became well. The kingdom became normal again.

On a hot Wednesday, the King's men ran across the kingdom. What really happened? They said the King had died. The kingdom was in chaos and everyone tried to be safe.

After a lot of consultations, the oracle revealed that the King has killed innocent souls and that's the cause of his death.
