Alhaji Aliko Dangote was born in the northern part of the country. His mother was a sister to Alhaji Aminu Dantata, who was the richest man in Kano state at the time.

Dangote was also the grandson of Mallam Alhassan Dantata, who was the wealthiest man in the whole if West Africa.

Dangote grew up with his numerous cousins in the house of his rich maternal uncle. Little is known about Dangote's father but his uncle had adopted him as one of his sons.

Even though Dangote and his cousins lived as brothers, he sometimes felt out of place because his father was not a very rich man.

Tired of living under his cousins shadow, Dangote approached his uncle one day and requested for a loan to start his own business. He was 22years old at the time.

His uncle had always been proud of Dangote because he showed a keen interest in the family's business even more than his own sons. As a matter of fact , Dangote was more disciplined and hardworking more than any of Alhaji Aminu Dantata's children.

Therefore Aminu Dantata didn't hesitate to give him a sum of $500,000 to set up his own business. The rest they say is history.

This short story about the early beginnings of Africa's richest man illustrates how a young man should endeavor to leave his comfort zone and dream big.

Many young men at age 22 wouldn't have mind working as mangers in a rich uncle's company and playing the second fiddle to their cousins for most part of their lives. So long as they are being bribed with big salaries and other benefits that comes with being the nephew of one of the wealthiest man in the state.

But Aliko Dangote' wanted more than this. He wanted to create his own path and also a legacy that he too can pass to his children. He never settled for less..

Today, not only is he richer than his uncle who is still alive, he is also the richest man in the the black race.

Living one's comfort zone is a must for someone that want to achieve his goals. But this approach always appears difficult because of many factors...

Dangote was lucky to be surrounded by wealthy people and have someone that gave him $500,000

At least Dangote had someone to give him a loan and I'm pretty sure that if the business ended badly and the money was lost, the uncle won't disturb him to pay back. If I have someone like that to give me a loan, I for don comot my papa house since 😆 but the truth is that if we really want to go far in life, then we have to step out of our comfort zone and start carving our own path

That's true. Just like Elon musk, Dangote was also born with a silver spoon. But these possess what other rich kids never had, they had the mindset to ask more from life,

My brother Dangote came from a family of money o. Infact even his village people have money 😆😆 His uncle Alhaji Aminu have shares in almost every type of business here in Kano , just like tinubu's Lagos , any governor who dares him will never win reelection. Dangote's mother is still alive too

A great example of a person who uses the facilities they have to it's maximum potential which many times we normal people underestimate, we may not be rich but at least better than poor people and have resources to pass this barrier. But for that risk and moving out of comfort zone is needed.
