Some people say that they abuse drug to relieve stress
Stress would always be part in our life and one can't totally prevent them.
I have heard of someone who says that he work best under stress. Like he is under stress, his brain is being forced to work out a solution fast. On the flipside, there are alot of folks who become a total wreck when they are stressed out.
Also, what is stressing for one person might not be stressing for another. One might find it stressful to get up early deliver tasks on time while another person might not find it stressful at all.
Well, shortage in finances and heartbreaks are stressful conditions for almost everyone, although the tolerance level might vary fr individual to individual.
Be that as it may, too much of everything is bad, talkmore of a thing like stress. Being stressed all the time could lead to both psychological and physical breakdown and the immune system might be compromised. This could lead to conditions like hypertension, diabetes and even heart issues
Psychological stress could cause depression as a result of the instability in the quantity of brain chemicals like serotonin and epinephrine. Low amounts of these chemicals could cause someone battle with fits of depression for weeks or even months.
Alcohol is an anti depressant as a result of the numbing effect it has on the senses. Hence some folks might decide to seek solace in alcohol and some antidepressant drugs.
Excessive intake of alcohol and drugs in huge amount in order to stay calm could lead to an addiction. And just like other forms of addiction, it might get worse in the individual's life as one could be at risk of losing a job, dwindling of finances and loss of family and friends. It ultimately leads to a breakdown in the health of an individual.
So, drug abuse wouldn't relieve one from stress even though some people claim they abuse drugs in order to look for a way out. This is just a weak excuse since all humans pass through stress at one point or the other in life. But definitely not everybody use drugs as a coping mechanism or in search for a relief. So you don't have to be so soft and weak to the extent that you begin to allow substances to control and even ruin you.
There are various better and proven ways of combatting stress successfully as you go about your day to day activities. These includes meditation or yoga, listening to music, exercising and even sleeping.
For some people like us, writing an article daily is an excellent way of beating stress wether or not we are rewarded 😆😆
