Fix your diet and every other thing would be alright
Dave had been battling with tinea versicolor for a long time now. A fungal infection that has affected his skin and is most predominant at his nether regions, sometimes the itching could be very embarrassing especially when he's out in public places.
Due to this ailments, Dave had been a regular customers to every pharmacy in the neighborhood that have prescribed various tonnes of medications. Ranging from oral drugs, creams, lotions and tablets but the infection would only hibernate for a couple of months, then they return with a greater force. No need to mention that he had spent alot of money overtime in buying these medication.
Dave soon got frustrates and decided to do away with all the drugs. He did more research about the causative organism of the ailment and discovered that even if he has been using some good medication, he was still feeding the fungal with the sugar that were always present in the food. And ofcourse, food will always win since they are consumed in larger quantities and regularly. Micro organisms really thrive very well on glucose you know, it provides them with all the energy needed for their optimum reproduction and growth.
Hence, Dave decided to modify his diets by cutting down his intake of excessive unrefined carbs including junks and soda. He also stopped consuming seed oils and spent more time in the early morning sun. Today, his fungal infection have almost disappeared even though he hadn't taken any medication in months.
Recently I read the story of a woman's victory over diabetes. She had inherited diabetes from her mother who died died from diabetes complications some seven years ago. This lady had been dependent on the popular insulin injection and other expensive diabetes drugs for a long time. She also consumed brown bread and tea almost every morning as prescribed by a doctor.
She later got married to an enlightened man who adviced her to ditch wheat bread and whatever food that she had been told were good for a diabetic patient including fruits. He replaced her soft drinks with cabbage juice and bitter leaf juice which she was adviced to take in the morning and before going to bed. He also forbade her from taking any meal after 7pm. She also started eating twice a day instead of the usual three times ( she had to be skipping breakfast). She was also expected to limit her consumption of fried foods to the barest minimum
It's now almost two years that she had been strictly adhering to these dietary modifications and she he never had a reason to use any diabetic drug again. Due to these new eating habits, her blood sugar have been on a normal level for many months. Infact her doctor had revealed to her recently, that her diabetic condition might be be reversed in a few years time.
Most people been made to agree to the popular refrain that " there is a medicine for every ailment" and unfortunately alot of big pharms have exploited this old belief in making big money out of the ignorant masses.
Believe me or not, 80 percent of all the sicknesses bedevilling mankind ( cancer included) would naturally disappear if we start paying more attention on the foods we eat and the effects they would have in our body.
Adoctor who never asks his patients about the kind of foods they consume, their rest and sleep patterns and lifestyle habits before prescribing a drug is actually a "drug dealer" and not a doctor π
