Direwolf

Direwolf is a species of extinct prehistoric wolf.

Its Latin name is Canis Dirus.

It is assumed that he also hunted a pack, like today's wolves.

It did not differ much in size from the Gray Wolf species. His legs were a little shorter and his teeth a little bigger.

Since many fossils of these animals have been found on the North American continent, it is believed that human hunters exterminated the fauna that is their prey, helping their extermination, for the simple reason that they were not able to hunt smaller and slower prey.
