Lost in the town of geniuses
Time was passing with its usual speed but it seems to have slowed down for Enya. How many days has it been since she came here but she was still lost in the memories of the ones she left behind. Her loving mother, dad her hero, the sister she grew up with and brother who loved to play childish games with her even though she already grew up and her friends especially Sara, her best friend for 6 years and the man she loved. She just can't seem to forget any of them.
She was an average girl in her own town but the ones surrounding her all possess some exceptional skills and the intelligence that she lacked. The reason was simple, she was the apple of her parent's eye because she grew up being a sick girl and didn't like to mingle with new people but she loved to stay with her parents, siblings and a few close friends.
This too much love, extra attention and her health didn't let her grow up mentally, she was 22 yo already but lacked what everyone needs to grow up in this world, intelligence, hard work, consistency and most importantly, the thought that she need to grow up, she lacked this thought. She enjoyed being under the protection of her family and being dependent on them emotionally and financially.
She thought it was totally fine till she met Kylie, an ambitious and successful girl, all men wanted to be with her and all women wanted to be like her. She was gorgeous, had a handsome monthly income, didn't depend on anyone and loved to surround herself with a lot of friends.
Enya met Kylie in a cafe when Kylie didn't have the change to pay for a cup of coffee she bought and the cafe owner didn't accept the card. Enya was there with her best friend and thus helped to pay for Kylie, it was just a few cents so it's not gonna affect her budget anyway LOL
The next time Enya met Kylie outside her school where Kylie came to pick up her sister and invited Enya for coffee to return her favour and then they exchanged their contact numbers. After spending some time with each other they became good friends.
Inspired by Kylie, Enya knew the word "independent" both financially and emotionally. She knew her family can take care of her for now but what after that? priorities keep changing and what if someday she is no more their first priority? There are many successful girls around the man who loves her and what if he realizes she is useless, full of anxieties, depression and much more. Will he leave her as well? :(
After days of reflecting on her actions, she decided to overcome all of her anxieties and insecurities and look for a job but reality hit her really hard, it wasn't easy to look for a job in the town she was living in. That was the moment she realized what she lacks, confidence and skills.
The days she discussed whatever was bothering her with her parents she felt better. Two days later her dad introduced her to his friend who owned a training institute in another town who usually only accept the students having IQ or the future heirs of rich families but he was happy to accept her for his friend's sake.
