"Every problem has a solution, you just have to be creative enough to find it"- Travis kalanick.

Humans on a daily basis encounter various difficulties, sometimes this problems are straight forward which can be easily solved while another time these problems can be difficult which can take you alot of hard work to get solved.

Problem solving refers to a drive for reaching a goal,it also means working through details of a problem to reach a solution. When you focus on the root cause of a problem not the problem then you tend to find solutions quickly rather than when you focus on the problem.

This reminds me of when I came home for holiday last month,I realized there was more mosquitoes than I have ever lived in that house,I asked my mum what the problem was,she told me that my brother is always opening the door and closing it,even my room too,every area of that house,after fleeting it today by tomorrow there will be mosquito again,the ones in the sitting room will share themselves to the rooms when the door is opened,we wasted all our mosquito repellent on it but we realized they were coming over and over again,my mum was mum was just wondering what the problem could be again, just lastweek she just realized that there was hole in the net of our sitting room window, whenever the window is opened, mosquitoes will fly inside through the hole in the net,when she realized that,she knew the problem was not the mosquito or the repellent but the hole in the net,so the next day she quickly called the person that will fix another net there,when another net was fixed,we realized that there was no more mosquito. The problem was gone,and so the cause of the problem too.

When solving the problem,learn to solve the problem from the root,don't focus mainly on the problem but the cause of it.

We have different ways where by we can solve a problem;

1.step by step problem solving.

This is when we follow a guiding manual,when we solve a problem step by step e.g when we just buy a new refrigerator or a new DStv,we follow the steps in the manual and solve the problem,we check through it to know how to turn it on and then switch it from one channel to another,what to do and what not to do.

2.trial and error problem solving.

This is when there is a problem and we continue trying different methods until the problems are solved e.g let's assume you have a business meeting by 9:30am in the morning, then you decided to take your car by 8am unfortunately the broke down on the way,you checked your time you still have 45min left,what will you do? At that point you decided to use the theory of trial and error,you opened the car bonnet,check the battery if it's intact,check the blade or check if there is fuel in it, before the time elaspse you can find the solution to the problem by trying different methods but if you can't find the solution to the problem you can call the mechanic. That will lead us to an external problem solver,you cannot solve some problems on your own,you will have to look out for other people who can solve that particular problem.

How to focus on a solution rather than the difficulty;

  1. Identify the problem first, Know what you are dealing with.

  2. Check and change what doesn't work,when you are done identifying the problem,you have to change what doesn't work before and implement new idea.

  3. Decide which solution will work best

  4. Put that solution you've found into play.

  5. Build on each of the steps that is successful for you.

Problem are bound to arise everywhere,at home,at work,in school,in relationships, in business,try and find out the root cause of the problem and then find a solution to it.

You know what this is great; why people out of conscious in selecting things that could trigger a certain problem rather than think of the best solution

Whatever problem we may seem to encounter today, some have experienced it yesterday and they found ways to solve it. So, not focusing on how to solve it but staring at the problem without any action would only complicate things.

Let's learn to find solutions rather than focusing on the problem.

You're right. Please permit me to take it from this angle. Most people do not focus on the solution to their problem. They keep pestering on the problem. We should always have it in mind that thinking about the problem is not the way forward but thinking of the solution is the way forward
