Politics In Every Corner

While everyone is currently talking about the upcoming Valentine's Day, politics here in the Philippines has also been a hot topic since the filing of candidacy. It's like the sugar in everybody's coffee from morning until night. Most of the people can't start their day or couldn't complete their day without talking about politics. That topic is in demand that even a little kid knows who are the candidates. This upcoming election has always been a hot topic. May it be on the radio, newspaper, television, social media, or video-sharing apps. It's literally everywhere.

The tension between the candidates who are competing for Presidency and Vice Presidency is also very intriguing. Each one of them conveys their views and plans for the country if ever they got elected. Each of them has promising platforms that can help people lift their status and make the country progress from its dying economic state. They elaborate their plans and methodologies. They count the programs they will implement. They choose what programs from the previous government will continue. They give resolutions that can end people's suffering.

The big question here is, "Who has the heart and sincerity to execute all of what is promised when elected?"

It is surely hard to choose who is to vote. We have to be careful and wise. Just always remember that we are the one who is going to suffer for the next 6 years under the administration of whoever we elected and placed in that important position to lead us.

National positions aren't an easy job. The scope of work is wide and sometimes unimaginable. There we have an economic status to develop. A territory to defend. Thousands of jobless people that need to be employed. Gas and electricity supply that has to be stable and affordable. Education that has to be available to everyone. Traffic jams in the cities that have to be regulated. Trillions of National debt to be paid. A virus to be contained. Herd immunity to be achieved. Dying agricultural sectors that need to be improved. Business trades that have to be regulated. Making our country a good place for businessmen to invest. Welcoming tourism again. The corruption that has to end and corrupt officials that have to be put in jail.

Those I mentioned in the paragraph above are just a few of the problems that our country is facing right now. If you know what other problems are we currently facing but I haven't mentioned yet, just name them in the comments below. Those problems are not a joke, to go easy with. If we elect a weak and not-so-knowledgeable President, then "All of us are dead" in the next few years. That zombie series title is really relevant at this time and it even goes viral as the politics here.

Anyway, all I'm saying is we need to elect a President that has a strong sense and is capable of leading our country towards growth and development. The one that has a concrete plan to do so. The sincere one, honest and loyal to our country. The one who does not have any stain of corruption in his/her name. The one who has proof of diligence, intelligence, and fairness.

Don't vote just because that candidate seems to be clean based on what we see. Don't vote just because that candidate lives in your place. Don't vote just because your friends and family told you so. Don't vote just because that candidate is the one whom your church recommended. Don't vote just because they are rich and famous. Don't vote for that candidate just because your friends or family members will criticize you for not having the same candidate as them. Don't vote just because that candidate paid you.

We have different views and opinions. What one prefers, may not be others' preference. All I'm saying is no matter who you prefer to vote, just vote whom your conscience is telling you. Don't get fooled by the sweet words, empty promises, and popularity of those politicians. Examine and see through each of them like you're using a microscope. Don't mislook and overlook every tiny detail about them. It's for our future. Don't take it for granted.

In all that chitchats, anyway people, just vote wisely, okay?

Thanks for reading!

Sports conversations can be enjoyable, but political conversations are boring. I hate selection processes. The topics that start with "what will happen in this country" are getting longer and longer.

Yeah, and they will support their answers with empty promises and lies.

I understand your feelings. Elections in a nation are crucial. But, all voters (citizens) are not self-aware about the situation. It is tricky to decide whom to vote. The voters should vote for the right candidate, i.e., relatively good and somewhat honest. It is not an easy task.

Not easy really. Candidates might look honest and good but some are really just puppets of the devils.

Ang mahirap kasi Sis feeling wise na ang karamihan ngayon, naninira na ng iba para lang maiangat yung pinapanigan nila. Minsan nga iniisip ko sana election na para matahimik sila.

We vote not just for ourselves, we vote for our kids (or future kids haha!) That's why our choice must be grounded by facts and clear conviction. We should not be swayed by popularity. Our basis must be servant leadership, capacity and the strong will to do what's needed to be done. Hayy Lord sana bigyan tayo ng maayos na leader after this. ☺️

Politics can be tricky what's more tricky is finding the right politician to support but you are right we do need to choose the right ones that will focus on creating growth and development.

Vote wisely. That's all we can do. Let's just be vigilant about these politicians. Let them reveal their true selves, so we can know who is true and who is not.

Kaya vote wisely talaga.

Ever since I was eligible to vote but didn't do so, I have seen the worst result of election. The main reason why politics here in our country is too diverse because of too many parties, it would be easy to choose the most deserving candidate if we only need to choose from 2 candidates in the presidential and vp.

$ 0.00

True. It would be easier that way. But you know, corrupt officials wouldn't agree to that because they can't corrupt funds anymore.

That's why duterte wants federalism so that there will be no big funds in the national budget lods.
