Boodle Fight in the Beach with the Fam!
Happy Friday Read idols! How have you been lately? Just wanna share with you some shots of our small gathering earlier.
My parents are the ones who planned this simple yet fun-filled picnic event since today June 24 marks the annual feast of San Juan (St. John).
Wattah Wattah Festival or Basaan Festival (literally: dousing of water) is the feast of St. John the Baptist, patron saint of San Juan, Metro Manila, and of many other communities throughout the Philippines, held every 24 June.
Me and my dad, cooked those Filipino dishes in the picture above. Pancit, lumpiang Togue, inihaw na isda, tinola, and etc. Our tummies were all full before diving into the blue sea.
The bright and sunny weather is just perfect. We offered a prayer of thanks to God before we ate those goodies. Fortunately, watching them munching those goodies as if they are extremely hungry gave us a positive thought that they love the food we've prepared.
Of course, we didn't want to end the day without karaoke and games. We played beach volleyball and other kiddie games in the beach such as habul-habulan, luksong baka, and many more. I'm beat up after an hour of playing that's why I spend the rest of time watching the mesmerizing view of the deep blue ocean and the picture perfect scenery of the horizon as well as the cotton candy like clouds in the blue sky.
I thanked God for this wonderful and joyful day, because I felt so relaxed and genuinely happy even just for a day. Watching my younger cousins playing and swimming ecstatically in the ocean is so satisfying. What makes me more so overjoyed right now is that thought that our relatives in my mother's side rarely joins this kind of family gathering, because some of the members of the family are not fond with this kind of activity. May iba talaga na Kill Joy but today was so fulfilling kasi halos lahat sila pumunta at nakisalo sa munti naming handaan hehe.
This day was indeed awesome. Family bonding is what makes my heart filled with joy. I hope this kind of gathering would lasts longer, but time flies so fast. Nevertheless, memories last forever though.
Thanks for dropping by!
Have a great weekend ahead readstars!
