"You can't bring your money in the afterlife when you die"
We often hear this saying, giving emphasis about not focusing too much on wealth, but rather on living life to the fullest through enjoying every moment.
Yeah, that's true enough if we will take it in a positive note.
Living our life with only the purpose of earning more money and being rich will not make us happy at all. Though, maybe we can still be happy but not that very genuine and will not last for a lifetime.
However, we can't also deny the fact that we can't survive in this world with just an abstract feeling, but rather, we need money to sustain our needs and some sort of wants.
If we don't have money, we are problematic, sad, and helpless. But, if we have lots of it, our burdens in financial aspect are gone. We feel relieved, knowing that our physiological needs are properly sustained, and our other bills are paid earlier than the due date.
On the other hand, there are some people who don't understand the concept of not being able to bring money in the afterlife. I feel sad knowing that they are making their life more problematic than living it to the fullest through spending what they have right now on nonsense things.
Yes, they can't bring those material things when they die, but is it even appropriate to waste it while they're still living?
So, I knew someone who strongly believed that what we have in the present time are all useless when we die. He believed that, what's the sense of having money if we will not use it to make ourselves happy?
He makes sense with that and I agreed upon his idea as we can't really gain benefits from our properties when we pass away someday. We can't use our wealth as we can't bring it to the after life.
However, I disagreed upon the actions he did as he makes his life more complicated rather than enjoying it. Yes, he enjoyed but just in the present time, not thinking about his future life.
Okay, so here's what he did.
He actually came from a rich family in our city. His family has lots of properties and they seem to be laying down in a bed full of money. That guy enjoyed the wealth he has. He spent too much of it merely for enjoyment purposes, not actually investing it by building a business. That's what he did because, what's the sense of saving if he will just die soon. Maybe, he believed that his life will not last long, but he was wrong.
Since he spent lots of his money until he drained his wallets and banks, he began to live a poor life because even his parents are too old to work, which made them lose their wealth.
He didn't understand the concept of living life to the fullest. He enjoyed by draining all his money, and not actually spending his life on relevant experiences where he can gain knowledge to be the best version of himself.
To summarize it all, that guy believed that no one can bring wealth or money in the afterlife, so what he did was spending all of it while he's still living, without thinking about he and his family's future. He is still living, but all of his wealth are gone.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
The concept of not being able to bring what we have right now in the afterlife makes sense, but we must also think about our future life rather than wasting all of it in an instant and nonsense things while we're still living.
Living our life to the fullest doesn't only focus on spending too much money or by possessing expensive things.
It's about learning and enjoying through positive experiences that doesn't only revolve around worldly things.

Yes, we cannot bring money in the afterlife but it doesnt mean before we die we should empty our wallets and bank accounts buy spending it all to nonsense things. If you are wealthy ? Keep being wealthy but share a portion of your wealth to those in needs, remember your family and relatives and also your neighbours( marites) . Let them feel the value of money eventhough they are not good at us atleast we are good at them maybe in that way we can change them or motivate them to become like us. Living the life with more wealth is an advantage, but keeping it only to yourself , that is not a wealth it is just a bag of trash . A true wealthy person touches peoples lives.
