The need for digital literacy
The rise of noise in the virtual world has now mingled with our real world which does not seem to obscure the concept of the reality of the modern world, especially in the digital era. The condition of advances in digital technology has now opened the boundaries of human reality, where the real space is no longer just a physical space, but now plays a role in the digital space. With many facts like this, it is the need for digital literacy to become an educational context must be fulfilled by all parties.
In this era of freedom of expression, nothing can prevent anyone from accessing or disseminating information on social media. But with digital literacy at least it can make awareness to be more selective in sorting and choosing information to be consumed. In addition, it is also expected to provide content contributors with more positive and educative information.
Digital literacy is a paradoxical suppressor in the process of developing digital technology. It also illustrates how the role of humans is so important in technology. Seeing the heterogeneity of the cultural content that is presented, everyone can look for anything in today's audio-visual form.
But is this also directly proportional to the quality of each existing content? We can see how the system and culture are built in today's digital era. In addition to the rise of humor and entertainment content, there is also a lot of video content whose contents only show pieces or pieces of content from other videos that aim to only seek the need for content alone, without thinking about cause and effect or factors that are more detrimental to many people.
One-sided talking about who is seeing or watching may not be proportional to the age problem to whom the spectacle is actually presented. However, even though these boundaries can be clarified or separated, unfortunately, a word of educational literacy will not be equal to who receives or watches the video content being created. Especially if it is discussed without boundaries or divisions to groups of children of course they will have more different views with different mindsets.
On the other hand, digital literacy is emphasized for the existence of connoisseurs of the dishes made. To be able to sort out what he/she had witnessed. However, it is also clear that digital literacy should be emphasized more on content creators who create. Not only holding on to the word freedom of expression but should be aware of the causes and effects that will occur in the end.
Not yet to mention the problem of the fear of missing out (FOMO) condition, which is only due to the fear of losing or missing a trend that is currently busy in the community. It's tempting to go along with it without realizing the cause and effect after creating the content created. Subconsciously following based on things that are not necessarily suitable or appropriate for themselves.
If content creators are willing to be aware of the conditions for digital literacy needs, they may be more aware of things that are educative and have positive value. So that it is more feasible to be an entertainment spectacle that ultimately builds a more responsible and moral society towards the surrounding environment in the future. Give birth to a minimum of misunderstanding or to bias understanding.

It's complicated now to see the boundaries where the limit is, who decide what's real or fake... In this digital time we have to be aware and prudent in order to distinguish the content, not always easy.
