Blonde - Exploitation of the word woman
A true story wrapped in fiction based on a novel by author Joyce Carol Oates. Marilyn Monroe, a beautiful woman from the United States who was quite famous in her time, was even liked by the men of her time. Although full of controversy because there is no evidence for some of the scenes shown in this film.
The journey of a woman's life and career is full of bitterness if you imagine. It's really heartbreaking that many can't even say enough to watch this film completely when they watch it.
This film is devoted to adults, if we think about it, the theme of this film is specifically about the bitter fate of a woman who is pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. Where is worshiped like an angel by fans but in the eyes of people who have influence in the political world, it is seen differently for conglomerates who are hungry for women's words. Sexual harassment, is like a commodity, to the point, that there is no longer any view of the worth and dignity of a woman.
The word abortion sticks out as if murder is lawful for the life of a baby-to-be who doesn't know what he did wrong. As if insulted even though it was his fault, he felt unwanted for some reason. Attempts to kill the exploited are also the same as if life has no value. From an assassination attempt by a mother to an assassination attempt masterminded by powerful people whose names are afraid of being tainted or known by the public.
This film about Marilyn Monroe directed by Andrew Dominik is far from a typical biopic. The film is not based on a biography but on a novel. Which in the end only wants to convey the pain of women even at the end of their death as objects.
Despite all the controversies on the fictional side, at least that's the reality. So much exploitation occurs for women who wrestle in the world of entertainment. Can't blame one side on the woman's own desire or just say the risks of a job, but in fact, the crime of harassing women as creatures that should be protected is happening until now.
Like conveying how suffering is experienced, blonde through an icon of a famous woman conveys their suffering. Where the words protection, human rights, and respect are really difficult to feel full for most women in the world in their own lives. The echo of independence is not fully felt by women.

I wish I could have had a chat with Marilyn Monroe before the night of her death. One Indian film actor Mr. Dev Anand was staying in a hotel room opposite the hotel she was found dead. Dev wanted to meet her and chat!
