Women The Super Humans

Many a time, I have caught myself thinking how my life would be if I wasn’t a male by gender. Growing up, I was particularly interested in the workings of the female anatomy. Why are they how they are, and how they can do the things the males can’t do biologically.

I remember what sparked my interest was when I was travelling with my mum many years ago, she was pregnant with my younger brother at that time as if that wasn't enough food for thought . In the bus, I saw a couple with a toddler, this toddler was being carried by the father, then the toddler started crying and after futile attempts by the father to calm the baby, I watched the mother carry the child from the father.

The mother started breastfeeding the child, and immediately the toddler stopped crying. At that moment, it seemed like the woman had a superpower. My childish mind that believed in superpowers as I watched a lot of the Marvel and DC animations had thought that the woman had a superpower which she used to calm the baby.

This was the first time I observed a baby being breastfed, and saw one of the many wonders women could do. I have grown up having great respect and appreciation for the female gender, as I believe they are the better half of the human race. I mean, they can do things like carry a baby for 9 months inside them

I was prompted to do a lot of research online about the female anatomy, trying to understand how it is possible they can house a human in them and the male gender can’t and if males could do what they do. I had read somewhere that childbirth is the second most painful thing, after being burnt alive. Although the woman body has evolved to endure and carry out the rigours that comes with childbirth, it is still no easy feat.

I remember years ago, when I just finished reading the book Everywoman by Derek Llewellyn-Jones (I strongly recommend it for every gender, that is if you have not read it before). I was having a conversation with a female friend, and I asked her if she had read the book, and she replied that she has. She stopped and stared at me for a moment, as though perplexed and asked why I would read such a book. I laughed and asked “Why not?”.

Though the book was more about women, it does give a great insight to understanding the female gender. I had told my friend that every human irrespective of gender should read the book, especially men in fact. Because women are one way or another familiar with their anatomy, but men are not, and what better guide than a book about women?

That experience on the bus had imprinted an image in my young mind. I have since seen women as super humans with super powers. And that is not far from the truth. They are heroes.

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS BY NO MEANS AN ATTEMPT TO DOWNPLAY THE IMPORTANCE AND EFFORT BY THE MALE GENDER, AND SHOULD NOT BE INTERPRETED IN SUCH LIGHT. IT IS MERELY AN APPRECIATION FOR THE GIFT OF BEING A FEMALE.

In conclusion, my mum is the main inspiration behind this article, as I was in a bus earlier today and saw a woman with a toddler, which brought back that memory from my childhood, and subsequently made me think about my mother, and all the sacrifices she has made for my siblings and I.

I once saw a renowned author in history who said "it's stupid that women wants equality with men.. because women are far more superior beings than men.. asking for equality with men means they want to lower their standards... pick your head up and stay confident dear women"... I don't know his name but this post reminded me of that...

HOWEVER, as a woman, I hate being one.. don't ask why, do not have energy to tell why

I still think that the main purpose of your reading that book is still hidden. Well until you decide to come clean, I'd keep quiet.

I'm glad I'm part of the female gender, we are awesome!

Women are the most prettiest creature this planet is blessed with. They are the full, or should i say, the complete circle of life. Haha. Women are so unique on every side, i mean so many ways. Every woman on planet earth has what makes them different from one another, but one thing brings them together and make them one, their strong will power and innocence to always fight for a better life.

It seems to me a very good highlighting of female power in relation to the role it plays in the reproduction, maintenance and preservation of children. Thank you for that.

Sometimes when I see females complaining about cramps and having mood swings all thanks to their monthly menstrual cycle, I keep thanking God that I am a male, coz I can't just deal with all that every month and still have child bearing to battle with in the future. They are really super humans

Women are special creatures created with lots of abilities and wonders, no man will precisely understand what it takes to be a woman except a woman.
