Responsibilities As humans, we have been cursed with the burden of responsibilities to **ourselves**, our **family** and loved ones and lastly, the **society**. much as some may argue that we owe no one anything, is that really so? Let me use a basic example of Family. We were brought into the world oblivious of everything. But, we were someone's responsibility - be it our parent or guardian. I would be saying my piece under three headings. Self Family and Friends Society SELF Much as we care about other people and our responsibilities to them, we also have responsibilities to ourselves. For starters, it is our responsibility to keep a good personal hygiene, a lot of people do not really care for their body, and it is strange really. It is one thing to no be a fan of things such as body spray or perfumes. But, you can't say that you're not a fan of bathing or shaving your pubic region or even brushing your teeth. It is your duty to do all these for yourself, unless of course you are a toddler, and I don't think anyone reading this right now is one. Furthermore, you also owe yourself the responsibility of living right, and this includes eating well and keeping your body healthy and happy. They say health id wealth, and even though good health is underrated, you mustn't take it for granted. Lastly, you owe yourself the responsibility to be happy, Whatever you are, whatever you do and wherever you may find yourself, always give yourself happiness, have fun, take that trip, buy those shoes. Just be happy. FAMILY AND FRIENDS From birth, we automatically become a part of the family we've been born into, bonded by blood and not by choice. Our parents too, have also birthed with us a responsibility to care for us, at least, until we are old enough to care for ourselves. Since we have no choice about who we are related to by blood, there is also the compelling expectation of loving those in your family. That is a talk for another day. We do owe our family a duty or care and love, wouldn't you say? Our parents, we are to take care of when they are old and frail, not abandon them. I have said before that friends can be family too, just that we are not related to them by blood. Loyalty to those we love, trust and commitment too. All these are responsibilities for us to those we love. A man for instances feels responsible for providing for his family a well as keeping them safe. A woman, feels responsible for caring for the home, husband, as well as her children. It is her responsibility as well as that of the father to inculcate morals and values as well as knowledge about certain things. SOCIETY Well, I am particularly careful about this heading so I do not say what someone else may misinterpret wrongly. But what are our duties to the society? I would say it is to to be good humans. I have personally been an antagonist of a lot of things that is normal in my society, and that is because I find them flawed or simply inappropriate. Unfortunately, society has bestowed upon me, as a male, many other responsibilities as it has the female gender too. It is her responsibility to take care of the house chores, it is his responsibility to work and provide for the family, it is they duty of the man to be strong and not show any emotion in trying times. Much as it is important to be a responsible member of the society, family and to one's self, we must be careful not to succumb to responsibilities that would weigh us down instead of lifting us up and keeping us on the path to success or fullfilment. Always remember to stay happy, and do not let responsibilities make things very difficult for you. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

Indeed we all have responsibility on that three aspect you've mentioned, although some does not recognize the responsibility of the society, we all have responsibility over it. To be a good citizen, because if all of us does not care what will happen to our country haha
Hehe, we need to be aware about how our environment and the economy of our country can affect us directly and indirectly.
Everyone has a different responsibility to carry out, even as a child too, no One is above responsibility, it left for us to make ourselves to be ready so as to carry out those responsibility diligently.
Well said Mary, I agree with you on that!
I agree with this that we humans have responsibilities as the start we born on this world, we have the responsibility to take care our self when we are on young age then once we are on stage of soldier we have now a responsibility to provide the needs of our family, we have also responsibility in our society by paying those taxes required by government to create projects for societal development.
Exactly, and to be good people too in the society. Do good when we can and help others too.
Yes, having those responsibilities are one among our purpose here on earth.. taking care of ourselves, friends and society..
You are right JenThoughts. Thanks for coming by.
I guess we are living for those responsibilities, and those responsibilities make our living worth it. This makes us who we are. Goodmorning!
Good morning to you too. I suppose that is one way to put it, I agree with you.
Indeed, each individual's have responsibilities, most specially to ourselves. From our behaviour to our actions, as we are responsible for every mistakes we may do.
Yes, we are also responsible for our actions, and should be ready to face the consequences.
It always starts with ourselves.. We always need a responsible individual to become a responsible citizen.
Aptly said, we have to be responsible individuals before we can even be responsible for others.
Yes, yes and yes.. It always MUST AND SHOULD start with "Self".. I'm so pumped right now for you mentioning that first
Thanks ma'am. glad I could get you pumped. LoL.
Actually, I also prioritize myself sometimes because I should be motivated to be responsible, so I can pass it on and it could start a domino effect to others.
precisely how it should be, it starts with oneself.
Sometimes we become so busy in service of family, friends and society that we forget to focus on our own self.
That is true, and it shouldn't be so, self is first.
Being responsible always start within. But when we say within, there is an outlet or source. The source is our parents and our environment. To become responsible, you need to absorbed it from someone else.
True, parents especially, they teach us from how they care for us when we need it.
These responsibilities can be sometimes scary. I sometimes run away from them but in the long run they still keep coming back to you whether you want it or not, which is why it is best to face it head on as soon as it comes.
Yeah, facing it is the best thing to do. It is better than running away from it, also, running from responsibilities doesn't speak well of us.
That society own no just join at all 😆 Some of the things that are accepted by the society just doesn't make sense and when you ask, they will tell you "that's how things have always been" or "that's how our ancestors did it". So, if our ancestors were stupid, make we continue being stupid as well abi?
TBH, if our ancestors were living now, they wouldn't accept their own rules too.
