Benefits of Being a Sisters of Mary Scholar

Last time I tackle the upcoming entrance examination of my Alma Mater, and I also share a brief history of my school. Now my article will tackle the benefits that they will be availing once they become a Sisters of Mary scholar.

Next week, Our Alma Mater The Sisters Of Mary School will be conducting the examinations and interviews for the graduating grade 6 students here in Lucena city, and in other places too, as it is all over the philippines, you will just have to coordinate with the parochial church near you, or inquire with school teachers so you will know the date and time of the examinations and things needed to bring upon the examination.

This examination is open for all(Iglesia ka man or anu pang religion or sekta basta willing ka magpabinyag when you got there)especially to those families who belongs to the poorest of the poor. The examination is so basic, and the interviews is more on personal questions also, like are you willing to sacrfice to be far from your family for a year? Do you eat dried fish(tuyo), vegetables and many other basic question.

If ever you surpassed the examination and interview, what are the benefits that you will be availing.

The benefits of being a Scholar

1-Scholarship from grade 7-10, and grade 11-12 also.

2-Its all for free, as in you will not spend a single cents when you got there, the foods you will eat, the school supplies you needed, the clothes you will wear, the toothbrush to be used, the napkins in times of monthly visitors, they will provide everything, and even the transportation going to the school is for free.

3-You will meet alot of friends from Luzon area, coz Visayas and Mindanao will be at the Sisters of Mary Cebu. You will learn different culture or belief, you will have a strong bond with other students and the Sisters also.

4-The level of education here is different from the outside schools, and you don't need to enrol in Tesda, just to have knowledge in automotive, baking, sewing, gardening, stenography,accounting, office prodedures and many other courses.

5-The school also participates in the Palarong Pambansa, Milo Olympics so if you have the guts you can join the atlehte there.

6-They also have rondalla members and they do compete in some high profile schools in Manila like Ateneo, so if you have the talent and if you want to learn how to do a bandurya, octavina, Bajo and other musical instruments you can audition.

7-There are dancers too, whether you are a hiphoper or not, you can try and audition also and they also compete, or sometimes if there are important visitors, benefactors that will visit the campus, the dancers and rondalla members are the who welcomes them.

These are some of the benefits that you will avail once you passed the examination and interview, there are alot more once you are there.

At first you will be battling with homesickness but if you have the determination and the goal of helping your family you can overcome those homesickness.
