BRIEF HISTORY OF MY USE OF THE GOOGLE TRANSLATOR: I really don't know how long I have been writing on the internet. I think it all started when I entered Steemit. However, there he wrote in Spanish. As I write this, I am remembering. So I started translating my texts while writing on YOURS (I was still part of BCH). I always knew that the google translator doesn't make good translations. Then he would spend time correcting words and phrases so that the message would not be changed by the translator. This is how over time I have acquired a skill or ability to write in Spanish thinking about how Google would be translating it. I don't use Venezuelan words and basically I feel like a robot. However, the result has been very satisfactory and many do not realize that I actually use a translator.

Sometimes the wrong translation by google cause a reader like me to feel confused with sentences and its meaning. I do not speak Spanish and I depends on translator to read.

Using the translation to read a text originally in Spanish must be horrible. We have many words and expressions that can only be translated by an interpreter. The problem is that the google translator translates the words and expressions literally.

It is but I respect the writer for trying. You know, since you are able to improve your own writing, you can make a community for Spanish interpretation. That way, I will know that Spanish articles that are submitted into your community, will be an ease for me to read using Google translator. Tag me if you create one.

I agree it feels about being a robot or talking to a 2-3-year-old. Short sentences, the simple choice of words. No expressions and better no stories where males and females play a role. I thought a translation out of Spanish would be great. I thought because Google is American. I tried other translates and they make exactly the same mistakes. I wonder why. If it is just one word it is good unless the connection is bad. If the word is used in a sentence it is bad.

No matter if you speak a language it's good to check the sentences. If you see the same word three times in the same sentence it's wrong.

You can correct it partly with Grammarly. It gives synonyms. After the change, it is worth translating back into your own language again. 👍

Thanks for your tips. I think that the translator makes those mistakes because he is not able to correctly interpret the meaning of our words. Many times we say words but we mean something else. This is how many expressions cannot be translated literally, but with an equivalent expression in the other language.
