The protest presently rocking Nigeria is spreading to more cities and may get bigger. Wherever you are - north or south - don't take things for granted. Be safety conscious.

1. Gather information on routes you are taking in advance, if possible.

2. Avoid any display of affluence - big car, expensive phones, jewellery etc - that can attract hoodlums to you.

3. Don't leave your destination early in the morning or travel late at night. Robbers exploit protests to set up roadblocks to rob motorists at those hours.

4. Generally, pay more attention to safety of life and property. Public security arrangements will probably be light this period.
