I've just read some stories about people loosing tens of millions to Ponzi schemes in the country. Well, people are very intelligent and clever with their money until they are offered these get-righ-quick schemes. All the same, I believe the government owes citizens a basic level of protection against financial hawks and foxes of this nature. Since there is no will to proscribe them, I will submit that the government should at least compel them to include the simple word, PONZI in their name and all their advert materials, transaction documents, correspondences and so forth. That way, the element of citizen innocence would have been significantly reduced. To leave things running like this smells like legitimating crime and giving it sanctuary in the country. That cannot be right. Should they therefore be taxed? I don't know. Maybe I've even contradicted myself! Merry Christmas.
