A tax is a compulsory financial charge or some other type of levy imposed upon a taxpayer (an individual or legal entity) by a governmental organization in order to fund government spending and various public expenditures. A failure to pay, along with evasion of or resistance to taxation, is punishable by law. Taxes consist of direct or indirect taxes and may be paid in money or as its labour equivalent. The first known taxation took place in Ancient Egypt around 3000–2800 BC.

Well done! You mentioned Ben Franklin in an earlier one of your posts I noticed...Lol
Really? 😅
Wow! Im impressed, I forgotten that already 😅
What's your interest in taxes anyways? You mention them a lot in your previous posts...
About improvement and economic growth, because our taxes are used to provide education and infrastructure. I guess 😅
Ok...maybe this is odd, cuz you have written a post about taxes, and I have written a post about death (kind of)...it's not posted yet here though ;)
Our combined posts capture Ben Franklin's essence?
Yeah maybe😅 I hope to read about tha (death) soon.
that may be a while...my death themed article is a quasi sequel to another article that I have to post first...Lol...sorry, kind of morbid
sorry, gotta ask if you had a chance to look at the first article that I posted here.
Well I think that would be interesting, take your time to finish that articles 😊
I just subscribed to your account...nice chatting with you!
Yeah I see 😅 thank you! I did the same too! 👍
