We all want to be happy, right? And it can feel like happiness is a thing that you'll have someday—when you've lost the weight, when you find the perfect person, when you get the big promotion at work. We're always waiting for happiness to happen to us, instead of living in it now.

But it turns out that happiness isn't about having no problems or worries or concerns; it's not about always getting what we want, or never experiencing any disappointment.

Instead, it's about being grateful for the good things in your life, even when you're also dealing with difficulty or stress. It's about being able to see the silver lining in every cloud, and being open to the possibility of new beginnings and new opportunities. It's about knowing that today won't last forever, but the lessons and memories you make now will shape how you approach tomorrow.

Being happy is not about always making the right choices or never failing. It's about getting back up and dusting yourself off after you've made a mistake so that you can keep moving forward. It's important to remember that nothing lasts forever, so today may be frustrating, but if you can only persevere just a little bit longer, tomorrow may hold something much better.

Additionally, happiness isn't about looking at life through rose-colored glasses (you have to face reality sometimes), but it is about choosing to focus on the positives rather than dwelling on the negative. I am not saying that problems, worries, or concerns don't exist. But we are saying that your attitude and how you deal with them matters.

When you're feeling stressed by the demands of work, family, and all the other things in life that can make your head spin, it's easy to forget to see the good in life, or to think about what's really important. It's easy to get caught up in negativity.

Happiness comes from knowing that even when things feel hard right now, they won't stay hard forever. Even when things seem overwhelming and hopeless and like they'll never get better, remember that this is only one moment out of many moments. And as soon as this moment passes, another will replace it.

There are people in our lives who love us, support us; there are trees outside our window, birds singing in them; there are meals on our tables, animals in our houses; there are jobs that bring us joy and friends we can hang out with; there are people we get to help every day through our work; there are places we have yet to visit and sights we haven't seen; there are adventures waiting for us around every corner if only we take the time to realize them.

A happy person can look back over a day and say "I had a bad moment today when my car broke down, but I'm grateful that I have a great friend who I can call when I need help." Or "I had a great day at work, and learned some new things that I'll be able to use later on."

You can't control what happens to you; all you can control is how you respond to it. You can choose to let your circumstances define you and shape your actions, or you can choose to define yourself from within, and then take action accordingly.

 In Conclusion

Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect all the time. It means that you've made peace with the fact that there are always going to be ups and downs, but as long as you're still standing at the end of each day, then tomorrow will be brighter than today.

So when you get a moment—even if it's just a few seconds while you're waiting at the bus stop—take a second to think about what makes you happy. And remember that happiness starts with gratitude!

Happiness is not a place you come to, but a state of mind you're attuned to.
